So I finishied ME1 on the PC for the first time and ME2 won't read the safe file

Note: My copy of ME1 was bought on Steam while my cipy of ME2 is a phisical copy

Note 2: i am using the Russian version of ME2 while my copy of ME1 is the English version

I've never used any ME that wasn't a physical disc, but I have heard that Steam can choose to save things differently. It might be possible to point the ME2 config utility to the different location.

Sorry, but I have no idea if the different language versions will conflict.

it's probably because your saves aren't where ME2 thinks they should be, like Shins said Steam keeps everything under it's own file system so you'll have to find them in you drive then point the config in the right direction.

ME2 suddenly started reading the save file for no apparent reason... so I am good
