Hey, I'm new here (well I've lurked here and there). My cousin has mass effect 1 & 2 on his xbox and we're room mates now, so he showed me the game and I got hooked, been hoarding his xbox sort of ever since he showed the games to me, lol.

Anyway was just wondering if anyone ever managed to make a shepard that looked either like themself or somebody they know (famous or otherwise)?

I been trying to make my next Shepard look a bit like me, spent a good hour on it.. didn't go well hehe. I figure I'll just stick to the default look since my own creations look like twisted mutants.

What about you guys, is the creator versatile enough to make your characters look like you or other people? I get the feeling I'm just inept with it.

I've never tried with my ME character. I did with my DA2 character, though. Halfway through the game, I decided I hated how she looked, and then remembered I made her look like me. Awkward moment there for myself...
On a random note, though, one DA:O character I made came out looking like Julia Roberts. And it was completely unintentional.

I tried, but the selection of hairstyles don't include one that looks remotely like what I have IRL. Sheploo has the closest one to mine, and you can't edit him. So I made a close approximation, but even then he doesn't look exactly like me.

I've been told by some friends that my main Shepard looks like me.. though I personally don't think. I certainly wasn't trying to recreate my own appearance and I wasn't looking in a mirror when I designed her.. I just sort of designed a face that I felt looked friendly for a paragon character.

Still, some people insist I do look kinda like her, I still disagree.

When I desgin any of my sheps I don't really go into it with a plan.. I just mess around with sliders bit by bit until I find something that feels right... though I've at time spent hours making faces.

Wow great job there, it really does look like you :happy:

one of my 2 canon femsheps is based on my face... I didn't get it 100% but I came close (not posting my own pic, sorry, just have to take my word for it)


I also attempted to recreate couple of real life people with other Shepards, but unfortunately CC limitations got the better of me.

Mine looks like a cross between two friends I have...it was unintentional and I didn't realize until after I had created him...My Shep is meant to be Native Canadian, as the two friends are and I have definitely unitentionally modelled him on them....those two friends have a lot of similarites themselves.

My goodness, FoxHound, you DO look like him. That's got to be the weirdest thing. I bet you flipped out when you saw Vega. And all of you guys are far more attractive than I would have imagined. Haha.

As for me, I never tried my friends, but I tried one of my sisters. It failed, miserably so I deleted it. And for myself, I tried, but it lacked way too many features that I needed. Hair is impossible, and if it's shaved, I have a scar on the top of my head, which wasn't one in ME1 I believe and they vanished in ME2. And skin complexion is impossible as well. But hey, someone more talented with the face creator might be able to make myself better than I can.
