Never managed to replicate a decent approximation of a living person, I guess I'm simply not a good physionomist... Instead, I just go by feel and give my Sheps a look that matches the personality I want to give them.

My canon Shep does look a little bit like me but only in the little things. I rather had Bob Morane in mind when I gave them his looks.

It makes me feel more immersed in the game when Shepard looks closer to what I actually look like.

Other than the fact you are beyond childish, are you sure you are looking at and talking about the right person or picture? You are talking about the poster called Hathur right? The one who posted on page 1 a picture of her character and herself that looks like this?

You are clearly either crazy or have a terrible brain sickness if you think she is, in your word "fugly". I have news for you, that is called a real female. I think you have been looking at nothing but photoshopped, airbrushed pictures of women in magazines or on websites that are also covered in severals pounds of makeup who look nothing like that in the real world. But that picture of Hathur, mister, is what actual pretty women look like and I think almost anyone can consider her a good looking lady. At the bare minimum I don't think anyone could think of her face as ugly. Not even close.

Oh and to Hathur. I think your Shepard looks exactly like you. Except you should have given her a pony tail or something closer to your real hairstyle and it would have been exactly right. Your Shepards hairstyle looks weird to me but the face is scary close to yours.

Lots of people like to get busy w/ heroes.  Though, I've never seen your Shepard.

I dont.

I try and make my characters look like their faces fit how I imagine their personalities to be; and their voices.

For example I wanted to make my renegade Shep play thru as handsome as possible because I reckoned that people looked at him expecting a really nice guy and instead would get someone rough round the edges and it be a real big shock.

And I only usually ever have one character that is "like me" and ive never had a character id like to sleep with.

Aw, I simply wish to confound the people here on the BSN and make them unsure, though I may have been a bit blunt w/ that line. People only try to make their Sheps look good. I'm sure there are people who make their Sheps look likje their better havles. Still, how many Sheps out there within the Commander Shepard population are ugly? There's only one ugly Shepard and that's Ugly Shepard.
