For me it would be - character being in a relationship, and/or mentioning their past relationships.
What are yours?

Blind submission and neediness. They are antithetical to what I value in a person.
Yes I can agree with that too.

Agree here also.
And as far as I know there are only 3 Jacob fangirls on BSN according to the character poll.

Seriously though, nothing really attracts me to them outside of achievements, so I guess the notion of them being there turns me off.

Thane and Garrus are in the clear zone. But I admit I always feel awkward when I romance Garrus and his releasing "stress".
Females: Miranda:"Your an ass". No...no....no....I am not.. That line is the line that makes me want to dump her.
Past Relationships : Jacob again. Yeah its pretty weird , him and Miranda in a relationship.
Thane ; I don't see anything wrong with him telling you about his wife. Natural.
Garrus: I dont believe Garrus has had a girlfriend. His calibrations get the best of him sometimes..
EDIT: Took out random capitalization.

For some reason, atleast in Bioware games, selfish characters are usually more loyal and less prone to being offended by any player actions.
Selfishness is a turn on for me, most of the time.

But there's only one fan to run from
JK everyone, jk, jacob is ok as a drikning buddy...
And LI turn off for me would be when they seem overly eager to get into a relationship with you *cough* liara *cough* or lacking of really wanting it with you *cough * garrus * cough* But that's just my opinion.
Another would be acting like they can only be a relationship with you when no one's looking, I would Shepard punch them if they did that \\:
And that's it.

Bigotry. One of the reasons that while I do not by any means dislike Ashley I couldn't see my Shep in a relationship with her.
Tell me, did you post that because you don't know the definition of "bigotry", or because you weren't paying attention when Ashley was talking?

Of course it does. I would want to be with a person that I turn on, no?

Except that Ashley isn't a bigot. You simply failed to comprehend what she was saying most of the time, apparently.DaeJi wrote...

Ok just a couple of random examples.
Closed fist LI of Jade Empire accept ANY last choice as oped to open palm ones, for example.
Recently played Spiderman Web of Shadows, and Black cat cares for Parker anyway, because of his power ( in other words for who he is ) as opposed to Mary that only likes him when he behaves a certain way.
Morrigan won't agree to a threesome like Leliana because she is more selfish, and that is a turn on, and won't betray a player for a random artifact like urn.

Ash: Cynical.
Kaidan: No problem with him myself....nice guy all round.
Miranda: Ruthless/selfish and harsh.
Jack: Ruthless and really messed up.
Jacob: Cynical.
Thane: Unwell, but like him myself.
Garrus: Hot head, but like him myself.
Tali: Nice enough, just really gotta work on her one eyed views though and seems kinda selffish to me for Shep to endanger her health like that, especially considering the fact that they all need to be at peak efficiency.
I only play menSheps...as you can see from above, my menSheps are lonely men...unromanced...

I did, very much so. And you answer your implied question, no I will not help you to better understand bigotry, why the term doesn't actually fit Ashley even though her "human's first" mentality can lead to it, or how her subtle asides betray how uncomfortable she is at times around other species even if she feels no ill will towards them. My Shepard simply finds such nervousness a turn off and doesn't think that Ashley's reasons for it are solid.

Hmmm, I want to poke fun at this but the use of the term "apparently" no doubt signifies that you are indeed correct and thus I must simply back down in the face of such an accurate statement.

I'm totally different. I like when an LI has motivations that extend beyond the PC. I want them to have principles and I want them to hate me if I don't share them.
My fave BW LIs are: Liara (who has her Shadow Broker thing that puts Shepard on the back burner), Jaheira (with her loyalty to the Harpers) and Merrill (who is ultimately loyal to her Dalish heritage). I like it when they care about something that's beyond themselves.

I suppose Jacob is boring because he doesn't need Shepard to hold his hand and help him find his self esteem, nor does he spend the cut scenes gushing over her. He even has the audacity to play hard to get even though Hale, for some reason, acted out her "talk for a bit" line like she was in heat.

That brings up another turn-off for me: Dishonesty.

Yes, fair enough. I am just that ''romantic''. I myself never let any choices in the game overshadow my LI, so I expect the same in return.
