According to your inflated sense of entitlement perhaps.

Hm...

Well, there's this little ... thing.

Don't worry.
Birds do it, bees do it, perhaps one day, even you!

Nothing will actually stop me from romancing someone out of hand, if I can, except being around more interesting romance possibilities. For that, I more or less like what jlb likes. Although added to that, I have a slight bias for interspecies relationships.

I don't want so much variety, it makes my head spin. It was hard to choose in ME2.

I eventually chose no-one..and what do the developers do? make me look at a picture of Kaiden before the SM. I wanted to throw it, after he gave me the cold shoulder....The nerve lol

And leave the world to the fools and idiots? I have a personal mission to increase the average IQ of the human race. There aren't enough competent people having kids these days, IMO. I intend to have a lot, like 20 or something (ok, slight exageration there).

Wow, my womb is cringing

..20 thats adventurous..and adventurous..and adventurous

Merril scarred me with the words "I love you" in DA2, I don't think I can do that again.

I don't really dislike any of the characters, and if I don't like them from the start (Ashley,Zaeed) then I think about their personality and motivations so much 'till I end up liking them anyway :)
And if I like them and there's a option for romance then I want to try that out. So,there's not really a turn off for me. There are turn-offs for my Shepards though, for example would none of my Paragon Shepards romance
Tali (unecessary risk for her and the crew),
Jack (friendship or a less speedy relationship development would probably help her better),
Jacob (the way Shepard talks to him it's basically sexual harrassment) or
Garrus (because Shepard has to make him)

Well she saved me by saying "I probably shouldn't have said that, should I? I always say stupid things."

Jacob on the other hand was horrible.

It was too much for me,  far to much.  Particularly with how short the game seemed.  I know it was supposed to happen over a span of years...  but it really did seem like I barely knew Merril.

I'm sure he tried that line on Tali,  before settling on Shepard.

The fact that they don't have a gender and are boring. (Runs before Liara fans start throwing stones)

Hey!

She has a gender...  I'm just not sure about the sex.

Gender is totally a social construct.

Saying "thank you" after sex. Bioware LIs seem to do it a lot, and it bugs me.

Yep, this pretty much. If it's written, I will probably romance it sooner or later - or at least try to, and see if I like it or not.

Most romances are cheesy and I dislike juvenile measures taken to explore said romances or juvenile measures that serve to diminish what was there previously.

It was incredibly easy for me to stay single in ME2. For my male Shepard there was no point in exploring any of the romances that existed. Tali, I felt, wasn't mature anymore. Miranda's assets were played up so much that I felt as though I was treated like a child. Watching the engine room sequence on youtube furthered that idea of the juvenile quality in the game (beyond what most of the females on my crew wore on missoins). Jack, I knew how her romance was going to play out and I dislike how much of a cliche she was.

For my female Shepard, her "sexy" approach of Jacob was a huge turn-off. It wasn't made better by the same tone used in the finality of the romance arc (youtube to the rescue once again) so I never pursued it. I tried romancing Thane until the dialogue choice "I want you Thane" came up and filled me with such dread that I abandoned it entirely. Garrus was the only one I did though I'm not sure I didn't reload an earlier state and forget it entirely as well. "We could test your reach and my flexibility." *facepalm*

Kelly was bad for both, but I have at least one for one Shepard. I really disliked how "loving" she was. I might do another and only because I read that Kelly was almost cut and her dialogue was probably written by level designer or something like that.

Despite the awkwardness, Kelly's romance arc is the most mature and realistic of all of them though it has that God awful stripper dance that complete demeans her as far as I'm concerned.

Thane and his "vertiical eye blink" thing he does. I know reptiles have multiple eye lids but everytime I see it....
