6. Kirkwall, the ghost town
7. Unlikable characters
8. Voiced protagonist
9. The "new" Anders
10. Stupid conversation wheel and paraphrasing
11. Worse art and graphic design (Origins vanilla looks better imo, Origins with texture mods blows it out of the water)
12. Can only be one race
13. "Hawke"
14. I'm depressed now :P

I could go on for hours, DA2 is just so dissapointing.

OMG... more trolls on the forums. What else is new?:D

Always nice to see EA sycophants swarming like roaches all over a negative comment over DA2:pinched:

Keep fanboying, maybe DA3 will give you even more "cool buttons" and Dragon Ball Z combat

1. Combat animations
2. Lack of change and general lifelessness in the city
3. Gimmicky feeling of the whole house thing. Never got the feeling I want to be there, to check up on things or change it so it fits my style.

I consider you the epitome of DA2 fans. And Bioware have many times expressed how much they appreciate you, the new fans.

As for listening, my lingering impression is that Bioware, in regards of criticism against DA2, have elected to only listen to people who already like DA2. Meaning DA3 will be a DA2:2, a polished DA2 with some high profile "flaws" corrected. So don't set your hopes, that someone one day will listen to others whining, too high.

New fan? I've been a fan of BioWare since I played Jade Empire back in the day.

That's a good thing, since only fans of DA II have anything worth while to say. Everything else is just mind numbing whining. If BioWare actually listened to these people, they'd be taking a step back instead of going forward.

Your statement might hold merit if DA II was a piece of trash. Seeing that it's not however, it doesn't. Nice try pal.

Even fans have just as much crap to say as any of the haters. Likewise Some of the people displeased have worthwhile things to say. As Bioware has even admmited to some of the changes that were  wasnt correct. They also claim to taking more steps in back in the direction of what made origins great, as well as moving foward

It doesnt have any more merit than your opinion does. But since  in regards to plain or like vs dislike, DA2 doesnt measure up on the majority.

Aah, 'Jade Empire' a game that shares many of DA2's properties.

What BioWare needs to change about DA  III:

1) Use more envrioments <_<
2) Bring back the Arcane Warrior & dual wielding Warriors
3) Let us have Origins back. That was a nice feature :P
4) Possibly the implementation of an isometric camera on consoles
5) A better ending :pinched:

I actually agree on all those points. Although there are still some features that also needs a change which they mention they are already aware of such as impact of choice as an example.

1) I don't know if this should count, but how the developers responded to the initial backlash. Their tone is much better now, but in the start it was arrogant, accusatory, and generally dismissive. There is still a hint of that with how they talk about the old fans and DA:O as if they're somehow responsible for this game's success, but like I said, it has gotten better. Too bad that will never erase their initial reaction.

2) The obvious rush job of the game. It's so blatantly obvious, that the details of it don't need to be pointed out.

3) The retcons. The dead coming back as if nothing had happened was... just a slap in the face, really, but it's all the other little things, too. The new darkspawn, etc.

Hmmm... it's hard to pick just 3.

1. Character's relevance to the story
2. Inability to chat among party members, or customize party members, at will
3. Lack of branching paths due to lack of meaningful choices

1. Almost every human female having over-sized breasts.
2. Turning Flemeth from a great witch of the wilds into a Ridicilous MILF, or actually super-freakish GILF.

+Most of the things everyone whines about.

1.  The drastic and complete "dumbing-down" treatment it got when compared to DA:O.  They don't feel at all like they are part of the same franchise, let alone made by the same company.  Some generic no-name brand knock-off.
     -  This includes the horrible GUI  and the writing.  The dialogues were not even close to being on par with previous games such as DA:O or the ME series.  Neither was the story writing and development.

I read some rediculous article in which some Bioware exec was yapping on about making their game more accessible and that being their excuse for their first real sell-out fluff piece being released like this.  If this game is more accessible, then I'm no longer interested.  It's a boring story with terrible combat.

Again, I suppose I was spoiled by DA:O, a product that fits with the image of quality Bioware has long held.  I'm sorry to see their image tarnished by DA2.

Sorry for the rant.
I was just so excited about playing this game ... to have it fall so far from grace hurt.

1. Railroading of the plot happening too much with Hawke's inability to act or not a good reason enough given for not acting. Instances of this are Act 3 and the White Lily murder case. Though, more of a case with the former.
2. Framed narrative and flow of time not really communicated well enough.
3. Going from a game with a variety of locales (while they may have been superficial) to being very limited. This was not helped at all by the recycled maps. It was just embarrassing.

I actually enjoyed the combat animations...

1. World too small. WAY too small compared to DA:O

2. Combat is crap, felt dumbed down for the console audience.

3. Too short, its less then half the length of DA:O

I dont know how you take a game and make almost every aspect worse..

2. Devil May Cry combat with a few dice rolls
3. Inabliity to customize companions

So am is my opinion more important because I liked Bioware for their older games like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights? (Hell I own MDK2 and Shattered Steel) If so I think DA2 is their worst game ever.

BioWare keeps getting better as time goes on. Look at one of their older games like Baldur's Gate and compare it with Mass Effect or Dragon Age and you'll see what I mean.
