Krios never once said that the disease is "NOT cureable". He is saying that the Hanar is currently working on a program, that should be able to adapt his species to the environment of the Hanar homeworld. His own hypothesis is that they won't be able to complete it in time for him, however, that theory can easily be proven wrong. The Hanar would have been working on this cure for some time now, so it's not unreasonable to think that it may be created in time to save Krios.Prince Zeel wrote...

I admit, I lol'ed. Whether Thane comes back or not, I'm not fussed. We can at the very least expect a cameo though.

Just because there is a cure does not mean Thane might be cured since his disease might be too far in his system.

Oh my bloody christ. What planet is this? I've not seen so much energy spent on finding loopholes to rewrite fictional history since Christianity.
How much times do I have to say this.
LIZARD CANCER.
He's dead damn it. deal with it.

I want the motherf*cker dead. I just want ONE aspect of Mass Effect that bioware sticks too. I'm so tiiiiiiiiiired of this trend.
furry, yaoi fanbase: We want to gay!
Bioware: Despite it inflitrating our storyline, perverting our characters, you got it!
prepubescent halo nerds; We want multiplayer
Bioware: OKAY! Despite this being a singplayer game for 2 games now. let's waste our money on a feature that will be mediocre at best.
Thane losers: I WANT HIM TO LIVES
Bioware: Well.. Seeing as he has a DEADLY NONCURABLE, CANCER. SURE!!
Enough Bioware. sometimes you just need to NOT listen to the fans. you made Mass Effect 1 without them, why the hell do you keep listening to these idiots who do not have a game design degree.
There was no multiplayer confirmation. I still have hope.:innocent:

Are we getting hostile now? That kinda attitude gets you nowhere, lad. The leading cause of death for drell on their planet Kahje is Kepral's Syndrome, caused by cumulative long-term exposure to a humid climate. This syndrome erodes the ability of drell lungs to take in oxygen, and eventually spreads out to other organs. It is noncommunicable, and there is currently no known cure, though leading hanar scientific authorities are working on creating a genetic adaptation.Prince Zeel wrote...

It appears that the Mass Effect universe uses the American model of health care system. Shepard was brought back to life because TIM footed the bajillions of credits needed to pay for the medical expenses.
Who will pay Thane's medical bill? I'm sure TIM could afford it and probably even cure him, but why would he foot the bill when he probably figures it's just cheaper to find another assassin to help Shepard?
Now if they were using our Canadian medical system then Thane would be right as rain....... wait...... no, sorry first he'd probably die in the hospital waiting room after having waited 6+ months for treatment.

No damn it. He should be dead. I remember when Bioware told us they made these losers so we wouldn't lose the real characters; Ashley, Kaida, Liara. Now everyone is diving through hoops to make sure they get to rub shoulders with their insignificant party members. Let me give you guys a free tip.
Thane is as insignificant a character as it gets. Grunt? Yes, that category.
Sorry, when you have reptile cancer you don't live past a reaper base infiltration.
It's ok my brutha, it's ok.

Because a cure has not been found, it's been found in ME3. It's very simple. If it was not curable then the hanar would not waste resources to find a cure.Prince Zeel wrote...

Religious assassins that could snap your neck in an instant but are "not that bad" are not original and interesting characters in my eyes so to stay true to his character (and I say this because I actually liked him in ME2) he has to die.
Add whatever fanservice you want like a video of the Femshep trip with him to whatever desert they chose and/or a moment with him but don't waste resourcers by keeping him for most of the game or even a 1/4 of him... he had his shot.

We are supposed to come across Thane, according to aleaked spoiler, on a Turian planet called Invictus. Invictus in Latin means undefeated or unconquered. Perhaps this is foreshadowing that Thane has found a way to extend his lofe beyond what the disease has doomed him to??Undertone wrote...
However I do hope we meet him at some point in the last installment perhaps even on his dying bed. This is especially valid for a Shepard that had a romantic interest in him. Although Shepard will be very occupied at this point (the war with the Reapers duh) but perhaps we can go to help the Hanar homeworld?
What's your take on this?
I'm excited to see one of the better characters in this series again.
And you haters need to get a life and stop posting. What a waste of time and energy. =/
