Honestly, Thane is the only one on the list that I actively dislike. His entire philosophy is pretty repugnant and reeks of morale cowardice.

Poor Kaidan... I actually do have a play through where I didn't Virmire the boy, just to do the romance, and he doesn't ever get any more interesting. He got dumped for Garrus pretty quick.

Also, all of my Sheps adore Krogans, because they are awesome. One of my great disappointments, storywise, with ME2 is that I couldn't go back and pick up the "Tank Bred Krogan" you talk to during Grunt's recruitment mission and have two Krogans on my squad. I can't help it. I find him an oddly compelling character for someone who gets two minutes of screen time. But then, if my Shepards had their way, I'd have four Quarians, Four Krogans, an entire STG unit and three Asari on the Normandy by the end of ME2.

This was a hard list to make, I really don't heavily dislike any of the squadmates, just prefer some over others and indifferent about a few. I didn't bother including Morinth, since she's never a squadmate of mine.

1)Garrus: He's my little brother, and best friend. Wherever I go I want him to watch my back.
2)Liara: She has my heart. I loved her the first time we met. I was hurt by how she treated Shep in ME2, but the LotSB DLC ending made it all worth it.
3)Wrex: My mentor. He's a bigger, angrier, Yoda.
4)Thane: LI for my female Shep. I respect him. To me he's very much the warrior monk like Samara.
5)Tali/Jack: Tali is so sweet and devoted to Shepherd. She loves him unquestioningly. I had never even considered her as a LI, but ME2 changed that. I've created a character who's sole purpose is to be with Tali.
Jack has a devil may care attitude that hides someone who is really damaged. When she was introduced in trailers I hated her, nothing about her said ME, now I can't dream of facing the Reapers without her. Her and my renegade vanguard are soulmates.
6)Grunt: He's a young, impulsive, and reckless sociopath. And I wouldn't have him any other way. He's another younger brother to Shep.
7)Samara: I'm a sucker for the samurai vibe she gives off. She's thoughtful, wise, and let's not beat around the bush....Hot. She's a warrior in the classic sense. I consider it an honor to have her on my side.
8)Ashley: She's tough. She's a fighter. She's sensitive in her own way. She is a racist. But through it all I still love her. The more I spent time with her in the first game, the more I grew to enjoy her and all her faults.
9)Mordin: I loved talking to him. He is a pragmatist, which I respect. He never backs down from the tough decisions, but he's also willing to look at them and reevaluate if necessary.
10)Kasumi: What little we get from her is very interesting. I like what I see. Wish we got to know her more. I hope she sticks around for ME3.
11)Kaiden: I can't stand him. He's annoying. I've killed him at Virmire on every playthrough.(I know I'm not the only one) He whines constantly. I almost wish he would have died on Eden Prime instead of Jenkins.
12)Jacob: Even less personality than Kaiden. He is the most boring character in the series. Nothing pisses him off or makes him happy. He only leaves the ship because everyone has to go on the SM.
