6)Grunt: He's a young, impulsive, and reckless sociopath. And I wouldn't have him any other way. He's another younger brother to Shep.
7)Samara: I'm a sucker for the samurai vibe she gives off. She's thoughtful, wise, and let's not beat around the bush....Hot. She's a warrior in the classic sense. I consider it an honor to have her on my side.
8)Ashley: She's tough. She's a fighter. She's sensitive in her own way. She is a racist. But through it all I still love her. The more I spent time with her in the first game, the more I grew to enjoy her and all her faults.
9)Mordin: I loved talking to him. He is a pragmatist, which I respect. He never backs down from the tough decisions, but he's also willing to look at them and reevaluate if necessary.
10)Kasumi: What little we get from her is very interesting. I like what I see. Wish we got to know her more. I hope she sticks around for ME3.
11)Kaiden: I can't stand him. He's annoying. I've killed him at Virmire on every playthrough.(I know I'm not the only one) He whines constantly. I almost wish he would have died on Eden Prime instead of Jenkins.
12)Jacob: Even less personality than Kaiden. He is the most boring character in the series. Nothing pisses him off or makes him happy. He only leaves the ship because everyone has to go on the SM.

I forgot Miranda. I like her more than my bottom 2. She's pretty much just eye candy. They don't do a whole lot with her. I want to like her more. I hope she stays with Shep in ME3.

I just don't use Jacob, Miranda and Jack in my squad. Others are pretty much equal, ME1 squad mates stand out a bit, though.

I like the human squadmates other than Kaiden and Jacob. They have zero personality. I hope James Vega improves on this. Cause right now the only human male worth respecting is Shep. BW chose to make it so I couldn't really get to know Kasumi. I love her character. And I even said there is no one I want by my side in ME3 more than Jack. And yeah, it's all my opinion so I could honestly give less than a frak that you don't like the characters I like.

Kaidan's an L2 biotic, has been through hell at a young age (like Jack) and JAcob's saved the council and survived Eden Prime, they both have plenty of personality they just don't **** and moan about the thing they've gone through that other squadmates do for their "personality"

Jack was kidnapped, tortured, abused in every way imaginable. Kaiden went to boot camp. Those are not the same experience by any stretch of the imagination. Jacks background explains why she is the meanest ball of hate wrapped in a biotic god the universe has ever seen. Ash's whole family is being screwed by the Alliance. Kaiden whines because boot camp was hard. And Jacob has all the personality and charm of a brick to the face. Guess what I save the council, survived Eden Prime and I get no credit for it. Deal with it. Jacob is boring. His personal mission is awesome, but he basically has zero reaction to it.

heres my list:
1.liara(i played me2 first and felt she was more practical than VS but  not the romance type. then i got me1 and really liked her calm, compassionate and little naive character and romanced her. then i played LOTSB and was totally smitten:wub:: a great combination of boldness,practicality,emotional and caring)
2.miranda: a strong character who actually felt like an equal
3.grunt:my first choice for 90% of the missions! nothing like having a badass krogan at ur side^_^
4.garrus:a truly well defined character especially after playing me1
5.tali:i think its her voice and her connection to the geth that make her more intersting than her standalone character
dont much care about the rest. hardly use them

Actually, the only two this person doesn't like are Kaidan and Jacob.

Legion, Zaeed, Miranda, and Morinth were left out.  That 50% alien.

exxactly, two humans left out and only one in the top 50 top 5 are aliens. this is all over the BSN It's always Aliens over humans and humans are called boring and whiny but Aliens are interesting and have the best writing. Pardon me if I've played every characters romance seen all the dialogue myself and find that the underrated characters are, y'know human. Is it racist that the only LI to say I love you is human? racist that the only LI to give you a bro hug on their friendship path is human? nope. (both are Jacob btw He's just that damn awesome)

Sounds like you're mad that the stuff you like isn't popular while the stuff you don't like is very popular.  With your tastes largely unshared and even unfairly bashed by others, you feel the need to do the same in return.

Unfortunately, fussing at people about how stupid their opinions are changes little about their personal tastes.

People like what they like, and it's silly to expect everyone to like the things you like.

Kaidan went to boot camp witha racist Turian where they tortured the kids, you remember Vrynnus broke Rana's arm because she got a glass of water WITHOUT biotics and he used a military grade knife on 16 year old Kaidan when he tried to help.
Kaidan also doens't whine. He even TELLS you it doesn't bother him anymore, and if I'm not mistaken Shepard ASKS him to talk about it.
Jacob likes getting the job done, that's why he leaves the allaince because they weren't getting the job done with the reapers, he doens't ahve big problems besides his dad and he gets over that! Shepard has more problems than he does so he doesn't burden Her/him with them. He also gives Shepard a BRO HUG. Do you know anyone else that gives shepard a bro hug through the series? well, do you?

far from that "you don't like what I like so stop liking it" it jsut all the incorrect "Kaidan's whiny, Jacob's a brick" Ashley's racist, Jack's whiny, Miranda's a ****" gets annoying while Alien flaws get a free pass because of the species. Tlai's way mroe racist towards the geth than Ashley is to any non human, Ashley doens't point a gun at any Alien that' not shooting or preparing to shoot her or Shepard, Kaidan EXPLAINS brain camp, Jacob's the most supportive squadmate out there, Jack is the youngest (20 I think) and still finding herself, Miranda's pragmatic and is expecting shepard to betray her until she gets to know them better as more than just a corpse. the only one I really hate is Zaeed because he's a "Me me me" person and kills Civilians to get to Vido. Trust me, I used to be the iggest fan of garrus and Tali until I did all tehir dialogues and was like "really? that's it?" I was do disenchanted after that it was sad tha they could hav ebene so much more. Also I don't hate  the alien characters, Wrex, Thane, Grunt, and Legion are among my top favorite characters because of who they are, not because they're Krogan, Drell and Geth respectively.

Thane - The Sensitive One. Also, he's a frog.
Samara - A strange, difficult to understand personality.
Morinth - Vampires in Space.
Jack - Chaotic, yet understandably so.
Jacob/Miranda - Eh... nah.

 Tali actively antagonizes Legion at least once (twice if you bring him on her recritment mission. where she shoots a living Geth after Shepard runs through all of them which could only mean Shepard is WITH that geth)

First, it's "speciesist." Second, yes, she is, just mildly so. I suspect it applies in some way to most humans, except for my Shepard and Kaidan.

Yes. I talk to him all the way up until he brushes me off. I got his line about spilling drinks on the Citadel, but he never asked me about anything at all in regards to personal feelings. I suspect it only happens with the romance.
