1. Remove Captains Quarters and use it as space for fuel, weapons, a powerplant, something useful.
2. Make the XO's cabin Shepard's new sleeping space.
3. Change one of the observation rooms into a combat training room.
4. Give the other observation room more amenities.
5. Make use of the empty space in the hangar, I don't care what we put in it.
6. Chairs for the officers.
7. Make EDI's hologram an actual picture of Tricia Helfer, preferably toples.

Turn this luxury cruiser into a proper warship, basically. Don't let me down, Alliance.

The SR2 destroyed the Collector ship (with or without upgrades), while the SR1 just got pummeled into oblivion.  I think its fair to say that the SR2 is the superior ship in terms of firepower.

That's not strictly true. The SR1 was destroyed in a suprise attack, throughout real world history suprise attacks have claimed even the biggest ships (Pearl Harbour, the General Belgrano etc etc etc).

If you were to put the SR2 into the same scenario, I doubt it'd fair ANY better. On paper, the SR1 has more firepower than the SR2 (in it's stock configuration).

SR1:
x1 Spinal mounted mass accelerator - Runs the entire length of the ship
x? GARDIAN point defence lasers
x2 Disruptor torpedo pods

SR2:
x2 Turret mounted mass acceleratorsSmaller than SR1's, but can be aimed
x? GARDIAN point defence lasers
x2 Add-on Javelin pods

Also, the unmodified Normandy SR2 does NOT manage to destroy the collector ship. It unloads it's entire javelin battery at point blank range. The resulting explosions result in major damage to both ships (including casualties on the SR2) and the SR2 loses it's field generator causing it to slam into the base and be disabled.

...not very heroic.

By contrast, the SR1 destroyed sovereign with a single shot (disruptor torpedo?) once it's uber-reaper shields are disabled.

Fill in all the obviously "dead" space... that would be a good start.

Perhaps you need to play through with an unupgraded SR2 again.  It destroys the Collector Ship without the upgrades, it just sustains more damage doing so than it would with the weapons upgrade.  Everyone with something to say on the subject (Jacob, Miranda, Tali, EDI, etc.) all say that it is an imrpovement over the SR1.

Also, any ship could have destroyed Sovereign once the shields were down.  The SR1 was the most maneuverable and got off a shot before anyone else.  Sure it was a powerful frigate, but the SR2 straddles the line between frigate and cruiser in terms of weapons, shields, and mass.  Something like that is gonna be more powerful than even a souped-up frigate.

Who says the Mako was a unique vehicle? The Alliance probably has tens of thousands of them in service. If the Army loses one of their M1 Abrams tanks, the replacement doesn't get called an "Abrams 2".

Oh, and no stripper poles, please. The Normandy is a warship, not Hugh Hefner's private jet.

No one said it was unique son, the point is that it wasn't in ME2, and should be brought back into play somehow.  If it is brought back, I'm sure it will have some sort of upgrade integrated into it.   doesn't mean it'll have a (2) on it but damn you get the point right?

none the less, the entire normandy crew spends who knows how long cruising through space, just because its a warship doesn't mean they can't have a lil fun sometimes (its a video game).   with your statement I suppose they should also take away the bar, the fish tank, and the radio.  also take all the good for nothing rooms and turn them into combat readiness rooms or something....."you can suck on a lemon"      ur comment was sour anyway.

A quad mount laser cannon and Garrus screaming in my ear after I shoot down a reaper " ya ya don't get cocky Kid"

Opps no err really I would not mind seeing it upgraded a bit more for combat throw some Drones or mines (not real sure what space mines would be called ) or a few more combat stations for point defence weaponry. And maybe some actual Cargo in the cargo bay spare parts pork and beans something.

Though I am pretty easy to please

I want, more than a refit, a serious ship to ship battle with Shep calling the shots. I want to see Joker putting the SR2 through it paces. I would love to see the Normandy omaha somebodies beach.

A bar. It needs a loaded bar. With a professional asari bartender. Batarians are prohibited inside the Normandy.

I'd kinda like more stuff to do on the Normandy. Perhaps some minigames related to the plot. Maybe the ships takes a bunch of damage and you have limited time to effect some repairs before the next round of combat happens. Options could include delegating particular staff to various repair types/locations suited to their skillsets and/or performing repairs yourself (through some kind of minigame....there's one in Alpha protocol that's kinda like tracing circuits, for example), or some combination of the above to maximize readiness in time for the next round of combat. And depending on what did or did not get repaired, the Normandy would perform/handle differently in combat.

And yeah, would love to see more 'life' in the normandy too. Crew members going places, performing tasks, etc. And some entertainment options (tv, radio etc would be nice to have).

And more interaction opportunities with squadmates and LI's....always more of those :)

The length of those cannons always bothered me. In ME1 it also seemd...short.

Main guns of warships are supposed to run the entire length of the ship. Yet on the Normandy, they are comicly short.

If you look closely when the SSV Normandy takes the shot at Sovereign, you'll see that it's not the only one that's shooting from that angle. Its fighter escort is firing disruptor torpedoes too.

The SSV Normandy also only had one torpedoe tube. The SR2 Normandy has four and main gun.

How about a Flight simulator, since we can't get to pilot the Normandy (Damn Joker never leaves the cockpit so shep can have a little fun). After driving the taxi in the 'Lair of the Shadow Broker', which was fantastic (better if had weapons of course).

No.
Cruisers too.

The power of a gun depends on the time spent in the barrel accelerating. Longer barrel = bigger bang.
Military likes a big bang. Lots of pew-pew.

Kinda hard to have fun when your homeworld is being trashed and your people are being harvested by Mecha-Cthulhu's, I would think.

with your statement I suppose they should also take away the bar, the fish tank, and the radio.

Actually, I think the bar should be moved out of the observation deck and incorporated into the main crew deck on Level 3. Of course, it would only be available to off-duty personnel. No drinking while on duty. The fish tank? The glass is a structural weakness. If it gets damaged you've got water and dead fish all over the Commander's quarters. Not pleasant. Remove it and replace it with something else. If Shepard is so hell-bent on decorations, you can put in some paintings or a gun rack or something. The radio can stay, it's small and inconspicuous.

also take all the good for nothing rooms and turn them into combat readiness rooms or something....."you can suck on a lemon"      ur comment was sour anyway.

Actually that's a brilliant idea. The now-empty observation decks can be converted into weight rooms. At least now the "good for nothing" rooms are good for something. Naturally they would be evacuated and sealed during combat.

A shiney brass pole in Shep's quarters for Kelly.

I guess after seeing her moves in Shep's cabin we now know how she paid her way through school to get her degree in... whatever the hell it is she does (seriously does she actually ever give much of a meaningful outlook on the psychological profile of any of the squad members?).... and here I thought that strippers being unversity students was a mere myth. :P

Kelly: I saw [Insert squadmates name] earlier. S/He looked troubled, maybe you should have a talk with her/him?
Shepard: No, maybe YOU should do that, seeing as how being the crew shrink is YOUR job.

Shepard said to Jacob that the next Normandy better have a bar, so Goddamn, it better have a bar. While they're at, I would also like to see a karaoke machine installed.

It really needs an easter egg involving a disco ball. Make it significantly difficult to unlock, but ultimately worth it. Once it begins, just have the NPCs go through the dance animations and it's gold.

Ah, ah, ah, ah Shepard's alive. Shepard's alive.
