Kay.. I don't know if this is the right area to ask in, but I'm going to try anyways and hopefully get a reply.
If this is in the wrong area, sorry, I'm a dumb person sometimes. But I don't think this goes into the character disscussion, since I need help with this.

Anyways my question is a lot lot of people I know use face codes on there Xbox 360's.
So I wanted to try but I don't see anything there for face codes.
I don't know if I need to download it from the Cerberus network, or if I got to mod my xbox.
I don't feel comfortable modding an xbox.. and I don't think my brother ( its his xbox) would want me modding it either.
Do I need the PC version to get the face-codes then? :?

And yes , before I posted this I have tried to see if the very smart Google could answer my question, he didn't . Neither did his buddy youtube. <_<

You'll need the site directer operator in a search engine to narrow down the search. By doing so I found a partial answer.

Face codes are present in the 360 version of the game (can't be bothered to boot up ME2 right now to verify). The thing is, from what I gather, imported characters don't have face codes. Now...what you mean by wanting to use face codes I am uncertain, so I can't help much further. (The character creation thread is actually appropriate as the modding threads are over there.)

So no, you don't need the Cerberus Network or mod saves or any of that sort of thing to use face codes.

Many thanks for someone responding :)
My question is that how do I get the feature to be able to use the face codes. So far I have not been able to gather information on how to get the "face code box" to appear. I have seen on videos when someone goes to make another Shepard, there facecode box automatically appears. On the 360 version that has never shown. Maybe it is a mod, or perhaps like you said, its not. Is it something in my xbox system I need to enable for it to appear?
And sorry, I did not know that was the area for this question, my brain didn't think that was the correct area.
Perhaps I'll try there sometime and ask.

Just booted up ME2. From what I can tell, face codes do not show if you import a character from ME (not even the default Shep). To have a face code (or 'Identity Code' as it states on the squad screen) appear it looks like it will have to be a ME2 created Shepard. Aside from that I can't see any other obvious reason. Your observation that when someone goes to create another Shepard in ME2 seems to confirm this.

Again, you don't need anything extra for face codes to appear. I'm not sure what you want to use them for as I don't think you can really input them directly on the 360 (I'm guessing to do so you will need to mod the save in which case I suggest you check the modding threads on the character creation boards as they'll know what you have to do); we are seemingly forced to use the sliders on the 360 (you could try to match the code if you're trying to recreate someone else's Shepard in your own game, but that would be time consuming).

An addendum as it were having started a new ME2 game.

When the character creation screen comes up, the face code can be accessed on the 360 as it is the lowest option on the screen. Clicking on it brings up the onscreen keyboard which allows you to input the face code.

I would imagine the only thing to be aware of is is whether the face code of the character you want to recreate was created on a PC using mods.

Oh, wow I have completely forgotten about this thread.

I have finally made progress and found the face-codes.
I restarted my computers modem, all that techy stuff and it came up.
I don't see how restarting did it but it did. And I cleaned my xbox and disk also.
Thanks for your help here, much appreciated!
