Looks like this is why all the press was at Edmonton, a while ago. Presumably it's been embargoed, but magazines are still hinting stories.

This is an Australian PC magazine. I'm assuming all of the "ME3 killer feature" stories in the next month (Xbox World, etc) come from this one session, where a bunch of media were invited to Bioware studios.

My experience is that PC Powerplay is quite reputable. If they are explicitly saying it on the front cover then I'm going to believe it.

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer is going to be as much of a fail as Dead Space 2 multiplayer.

Yeah, it really does make sense to add something like co-op mp to the last ME to let it go out with a bang, my guess is that they were denying it until they were for sure it was going to be in. I'm sorry to everybody who hates this news but I'm a little excited to see how this could be implemented.

Yeah, PC Powerplay is easily one of the most trusted mags here in Australia - they always seem fair in their reviews and their previews and wouldn't put something up like that just to generate interest or sales.

Also note the tagline 'Fight alongside your friends as the galaxy goes to war'. Got to be co-op

So it appears that the story an character development took a hit for the 40 players who wanted multiplayer, sorry to the 12mil of the rest of us. The minority wins again. So, the question is, how good could the game have been if they didn't spend the 6 months just to add multiplayer to the game, how much of the game was scraped to slow funding and time to add this feature, I really want to know. So BW, if this is the case and you added multiplayer, what things in game play, story, and graphics took the bullet? Because those are the things I want in the first DLC, Oh and it should be free too, it's what I payed for in the first place.

I still don't understand how co-op will be workable. If it's a whole separate campaign ala Splinter Cell: Conviction... it'll definitely eat into the singleplayer portion, which is not something I want. If it's merely a co-op mode for friends to play through the main campaign together... there'd almost end up being a power struggle, wouldn't there? Who would want to play as Liara or Vega (both with fewer powers and non-alterable armor, not to mention less dialogue) when the whole point of the game is to take the main character through this war story and make him/her your own? The only way I'd see myself playing second fiddle to my friend would be if I was at his place, with nothing else to do.
