If it's true, and it doesn't have any effect on the game(the singleplayer, ie it's a different team altogether), then I suppose it won't be such a big problem. As of now there are greater problems, such as the possibility of being forced to use Origin to play.

Medal of Honor 2010 would like to have a word with you. Last time I checked, both aspects of the game sucked, and done by DIFFERENT TEAMS.

Just remember guys don't take your anger out on Chris if he shows up in this thread. He never officially denied the existence of multiplayer so he wasn't lieing and he is of course just a CSM so he has no say in how the company as a whole decides to ruin itself.

Also remember that we can't blame EA for this as it's all Bioware apparrantly.

 If this turns out to be true, I'm not annoyed so much as baffled.  Why the heck would Bioware make multiplayer, especially when it's likely just a relatively small side feature stuck on top of their typical RPG formula?  It's about the same thing as Gears of War inserting a few instances of the player getting to pick Fenix's dialog.  It might be moderately entertaining, but it's not going to change anybody's mind about the underlying nature of ME being an RPG.  The most it can possibly be is a bit of extra flavor, and it's not really the type of flavor that RPGs fans tend to care about.  Hardly anybody is going to buy ME just because it has multiplayer. Multiplayer buffs are going to buy games where multiplayer is, you know, the point and actually extensive, not where it's just a add-on to an RPG.

Now if the multiplayer is super extensive and the singleplayer suffers because of that...then I'll be annoyed.

I never personally saw any "denied MP" comment from any Bioware employee, so I had an inkling that it might be true. It was always "no comment". I didn't really want MP but if the SP is great I won't care.
