Co-op would be even funnier. Imagine Dean The Young following Xilihizra around, second guessing all her decisions. The most useless forum buddy would probably be Smudboy. You'd be returning fire and he'd just be telling you how stupid the whole situation was.

Look at it this way, when all the CoD morons show up cause they see the shiny Multiplayer we'll be cleaning thier clocks score-wise, and that alone will be worth it.
Well that's not remotely offensive or making a huge assumption, is it?
There isn't any reason to suggest that CoD fans who enjoy the Call of Duty franchise will suddently decide to buy ME3. Why would they? They have CoD.

That's true. Also, alot of them don't even know of Mass Effect's existence.

I would, but then I remembered that the original StarCraft had multiplayer so damn good that it became the state religion of South Korea... and had one of the best single-player campaigns of its time.jreezy wrote...
No raging Cheez? Come on. You know you want to.
And then there's Metroid Prime 2 and Dead Space 2, where the single player (the meat) was still damn tasty, and everyone ignored the sh*t multiplayer.
And let's not forget Portal 2, which was twice as long and just as good as the original with all sorts of cool new mechanics... and a multiplayer mode that was pretty decent.
And, you know, there's stuff like Pokémon that has a cult following for both its single and multi sides.
So really, what's to rage about? The demo goodies tell us that the gameplay's already improved, and I have enough faith in the writers that the final game will be at least as good as ME2. And, despite its faults, ME2 is still pretty much my favorite game ever.
The only thing to worry about now is the multiplayer sucking, in which case it can be ignored.

Having Wrex on the cover got my brain spinning. What if Casey Hudson's true definition behind the words "permanent defeats the nature of war" (or whatever it was, I'm tired) were a hint at a rotating-squadmate-but-only-for-co-op system? I'd be a bit miffed if I could only get Wrex on my side so long as a buddy was controlling him but whatev.
Or maybe temporary squadmates like Thane and Wrex (from what we've heard) can be controlled via multiplayer connections.
God I hope not. I don't care about MP, so long as it doesn't interfere with SP or result in a stunted/shafted SP, which I don't expect to happen. Maybe I'll even get a few hours out of it. Something like that would mean I was missing out on some part of SP (and a big part) if I ignored MP. I'd absolutely hate that. Here's hoping they keep the modes 99% seperate.

They probably do, but I think it's a tad conceited to think the Mass Effect games are so amazing that everyone will want to play them.

EA fails to understand this, though.
Or that a singleplayer game can be good enough on its own.
The idiot who said that multiplayer is the future shouldn't be allowed to work with video games at all.

You mean a franchise that was already dying? Do you know the history behind FEAR 3? How developers swapped hands and different entire games were made?
Really? FEAR 3? That's your pinnacle example?
I'm already aware of the constant switch with developers, smart-ass. Still doesn't explain why the campaign as a whole still felt half-assed when they wanted to add in all of these extra multiplayer modes that only had a month-long lifespan.

I wouldn't say he's an idiot, considering that a lot of great games have multiplayer.
Like Red Dead Redemption.

Co-op is even worse than random multiplayer. This is no Gears of War.

The Thing is a have a lot of friends of mine I'll tell them about ME and say it is a fun game, but all come up with the same point if it was multiplayer they would play it, but it was a lot bigger on them same friends on DA being Multiplayer they all liked how it looked better, but by all means they want it like one of them MMO RPG games, dont know the names but i think one is call Warcraft of something or something. lol.

So in a way it sort of harkens back to Bioware's roots. Though I don't know anybody who plays Mass Effect personally so I'll be sticking to solo.. and I don't like gaming with strangers.

Besides, they know that a single player game works successfully on a stand-alone basis, but this isn't just about those who want to play single player. There are other people in the world and those other people want to play MP. It's so selfish to complain about an optional extra that you don't even have to take part in.
I fear I'm just banging my head against a brick wall, though.
