i haven't conviniently forgotten anything. i never played any of those games. i was just pointing out at the fact that if people do their job and they're good at it. i turns out good, and if not than it doesn't.
i really don't see what point you are trying to make by saying BIA and MOH were bad games? you think they were bad becuase they had a team work on MP and another work on SP. does that sound like a logical arguement to you?

Uh, as it was, both aspects of the game sucked, DESPITE HAVING TWO SEPARATE DEDICATED TEAMS.

Common theme both games had:

Bad multiplayer, and crappy single-player campaigns.

are you serious? how does this prove having seperate teams for MP and SP doesn't mean each aspect gets it's own love and care?

are you seriously saying that because MOH and BIA were bad games than mass effect 3 will be a bad game? that's an outright  nonsensical claim

ME 1 lacked in a lot of aspects. Not going to list them, since there's a ton. Can we blame EA for that?

Uh because, if any part of the stronger aspect of the game felt lacking, it would obviously because of the mere inclusion of multiplayer. Already saw that with enough console games in my gaming "career."

Right.  Yes. "If".  You seem to be working under the assumption that it already has happened, is all I'm saying.  ...or at least your impressive rage is.

Bolded my previous quote because I SAW IT ENOUGH TIMES. Reason why I'm this pissy about the news. As it is, my interest in gaming has been at an all time low, and for the record, I'm already retiring after ME3, while my big MAYBE games are BioShock: Infinite, Aliens: Colonial Marines, and True Crime: Hong Kong.

Amazingly, I have Origin installed, and funnily enough, my PC hasn't blown up, or slowed down, nor have the FBI raided my place. Like Steam, it just sits in the tray, doing nothing most of the time. It starts up quicker than Steam too. Still waiting for the paranoid to say how Origin will turn your PC into a zombie.

My paranoid side turned off auto-load of Origins when Windows starts and went celebrating with that side which constantly misplaces discs.

Never gave a rat's ass about any of the Bethesda games mainly for the fact that the NPCs have Z-list voice-acting, and the "sand-box" exploration just got tedious.

Those RPG-tards and their 'low-brow masses' talk. Always makes for a good laugh when they think they're superior because they wasted hundreds of hours in some game with dragons, numbers and elf women in bikini armor.

If the game were 1) out, and 2) awful, I could understand the hyperbolic accusations.  Until then, or at least until some official Bioware Word-of-God information becomes available, I don't understand all the heat coming off of this firey nerd-rage.

Bioware hasn't attempted MP in recent years - who is to say they won't kick **** at that, as well?  Even if that requires some mild suspension of disbelief, do it.  DO IT.  Your blood pressure thanks you.

Uh, I want the best single-player experience possible, and that also involves NO MULTIPLAYER.

Okay, and I agree!  But why does it have to be one or the other?  You can have the best singleplayer ME3 experience even if the MP sucks, right?

time spend on MP implies less time and resourseces to make a better SP ....... u got what i mean ? :wizard:

What? Maybe they'd already completed the SP element.

Again, people assuming that due care and effort has not gone into the main game.

Hmmm,

wondering what the expectations are for this multiplayer component.
The ME franchises have not established themselves as shooter games and thus are entirely NOT likely to pull in the "CoD fans" or a significant part of any shooter crowd. The shooter crowd (and in my experience any gaming crowd) is pretty conservative and not very likely to hop on another game's bandawagon when there's a release for the favourite shoort around the corner.

So what can EA/Bioware likely hope to achieve? Pull in some of the casual gamers for which the MP component might be a compelling argument. Which is a pretty lightweight argument in the gaming market that will be swamped in mainstream shooter releases in the months to come.

I don't expect this to be a significant number of gamers and thus I sincerely doubt that vast resources are spent on a Multiplayer component for ME3, strongly reducing my expectations of anything decent coming out of this. But who knows, I could well be surprised.

Well for Skyrim, they're hiring alot more voice-actors, and alot of people (like me) enjoy running around for an around exploring. Hell, I can play Oblivion or Fallout 3 and just jump back and forth for an hour.

What's the rationale on creating a multiplayer mode for a heavily cinematic, single player story focused game?

Or more specifically, what will it add?

BG 1/2 multiplayer didn't add jack and had quite a few issues, NWN was basically a resource and toolset for custom modules and MP PWs (unless someone wants to claim that NWN OC was a masterpiece).

So how would have any sort of multiplayer add anything for Mass Effect when it's supposed to be a single player, deep RPG with cinematics, romances and everything? How would that work in an MP mode? It makes no sense if it's Co-Op and if it's separated from SP mode, it's adding un-necessary strain and problems in development which will undoubtedly affect the final product.

I gots you, boo!  I just think assuming the SP will suck shows a distinctive lack of faith in Bioware that I find disturbing. /VaderVoice  Also, I reeeally wanted to use this link

If the SP indeed sucks I will get right on your bandwagon and hurl my vitriol at that accursed MP (the easiest target, certainly), but...the SP doesn't suck yet unless your psychic powers are informing you of such.  Are they?  Image IPB

I have to say the recent release of DA2 has added quite a bit to my apprehension about this whole thing... DA2 was a disgusting piece of cr*p and did hint that bioware were flirting with, the horrible idea of, making games to appeal to the lowest common denominator as quick as possible to cash in with as little effort as possible....

(of course this behaviour is exacly how successful companies go bankrupt)

Now we hear that ME is getting multiplayer... I sincerely hope I am wrong but does it not portend bad things ?

Oh, yeah, I completely agree that a game should be rated on who they used for the voice-acting. Screw everything else! Image IPB

Oh, i've been enjoying the rage here haha.
I'm quite intrigued by it, and i hope they chose for co-op instead of versus mode.
C'mon Bioware, don't f*ck this up!

Having different teams doesn't guarantee any consistency in quality. Medal of Honor 2010 and Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway already proved that.

I loved the MoH 2010 single player campaign (the ending was especially thoughtful and touching), and I still play Combat Mission online at least a couple of times a week.

30 pages and only 1 hardcore "fan" who "claims" that he will not buy ME3. Where are all the other conservatives who claimed they wouldn't buy a copy.. back when it was a more vague rumor?

Makes perfect sense for co-op. Fighting waves of husks with friends. How is that not fun?

As long as it's optional and doesn't mess with the single player I'm all for it.

Also because I can't help it:
'Ah yes "Multiplayer". The ability to play co-operatively or online with others, allegedly included in Mass Effect 3. We have dismissed that claim.'

DA2 wasn't bad, it just got annoying after a day, with nothing but Kirkwall.
