Well I will wait to Rage after I have my hands on ME3, need to see if it hurt the game overall or not first. I aint going to blindly rage about it and look like a fool. But Bioware already has a strike on it for me because of DA2, sorry the sequel shouldnt suck compared to the Original game. What I love about Bioware games the feel to have to replay it and DA2 left me with the feeling i got my most out of it with 2 playthroughs only.

Now back to ME3, I wont rage until i have my hands on the game. My raging wont stop them from putting it in and I am not sure if the Magazine is just posting it up to boost sells or what not. I dont know them that well so thats why i question. But I will rage about MP if ME3 feels like it was hurt by it, If they add MP Trophies that wont hurt me at all because i dont try to get all the Trophies/Achievements.

Well if true I'm disappointed, but in no way entertaining the idea of cancelling my pre order.

He'll, if it's just co-op for the fighting parts of the game, then I'll definately end up using it, as my fiancé and I love a good co-op game, and I'd enjoy making Mass Effect 3 the story of how her Shepard let a squadmate do 90% of the fighting, then got all the credit.

If it turns out to be a deathmatch mode in an artificial arena environment where we can kill one another's Shepards online, then that's the exact opposite of why I play ME, so I just won't ever use it.

If that's the case, I'm more pissed off by the thought of how much time MP is going to take up in any announcements, trailers and press releases between now and launch than anything, but oh well, it's not the end of the world.

Interesting, but I'm not sure how a co-op would work given that the story revolves around Shepherd. If your friends joined you, how would they progress their own story? I'm guessing multiplayer would be more like deathmatch and team deathmatch.

To be honest, provided the single player campaign is as good as it should be I don't care!

No, you forgot Warthog Jumping. :innocent: Also, it's roughly 10 hours of SP. Like the above poster said (hardly caught your name, my fellow BSNer, apologies), you've not actually played it, have you?

I still lament the loss in BioWare's integrity and the addition of Multiplayer.

My name's in the top-right of the post. :P

Halo 3's SP campaign is the one that gets the most complaints, since it was rather short. But I recall Halo 2 - which was basically Xbox LIVE's killer app - as having a fairly lengthy campaign even by FPS standards of the time (which were already considerably longer than the six-hour Call of Duty model that most seem to think of these days).

I went and fixed it, lol. Just barely saw your post when I went to quote him. Hooray for editing!
...I'm still really unsure about MP in ME. It's... unsettling, considering all Casey said about it "never working out just right" during... what? E3? One of the first couple of conventions.

That said, if some sort of decent coop version was available it would be incredible. But I guess it would be impossible, unless you had friends who didn't mind not being Shepherd and having someone else make the plot decisions. Even if it was a drop-in mode so people could take over squadmates' actions, it would make massive spoilers if they hadn't played through before. And could spoil the replay value even if they had.

Well, maybe it's not so bad. Uncharted 2 had glorious single player, and awesome multi-player.

Of course, Uncharted was never a 40 hour + RPG built on individuality of gameplay and story decisions, but Gears of War 3 had a good campaign and .... oh no... I'm hyperventilating ....

MP explains why ME3 delayed till 2012.  At least if the solo campaign is not up to RPG standard we can all kill each other on the MP maps. A co-op map/campaign similar to Dead Island would be outstanding.

Exactly! It's the best ending to Shepard's story!

We could play as our own Shepard or create a custom character separate to the main story like Saints Row's multiplayer. We could be recruits from any race training in Pinnacle Station performing capture the flag all the way to good 'ol deathmatches and team deathmatches.

Hmm time to get big hammer and tko from stealth everyone. 16 hours later. That was fun, same thing tomorrow without the four hour drag before the teabagging?

It's already been said that ME3 is as long as ME2, between 30-35h. of gameplay. There's a reason the game was delayed for almost 6 months. They want to get it right. Balance is key.

I'm not particularly pleased about it either, but I remain skeptical until I hear it directly from Casey or one of his subordinate's mouth. Even then, it's not something that's going to get me to cancel my pre-order.

There is the whole idea of it taking away resources from SP, and it's a legitimate worry, but I'd be a lot more plussed about it if they were still trying to squeeze it into that Holiday 2011 release date instead of bumping it back a whole quarter to March 2012.

I doubt you'd be able to compare ME3 to any other SP/MP game out there, so you're out of luck.

This'll be a completely new thing. I hope Bioware does it right, otherwise... I'll be back to send them my rant and be done with them. The Mass Effect series is the only thing keeping me in their fanbase anyway.
