Enh.  Whatever.  I said it, and did so because that's exactly what it was: a rumor.  Truly solid evidence was lacking to say the least.  Now it's not.  Really that simple.

Personally this is a bit satisfying after all those people posting "it's been denied a 1000 times stop making these threads!!" everytime MP came up.  Don't disagree didy that it was a rumour until it was confimed today, it just annoyed me all those people posting that it had been denied when it hadn't

Before giving up finishing Shepard's story over this, I'd like to know what "this" is. If "this" means something really horrible, like changes in main plot for multiplayer, then my Shepards' story ended either in ME1 (Reapers didn't arrive at all. TROLOLO) or in ME2, depending on Shepard. On another hand, "this" might end up absolutely harmless.

Nothing is certain, but I really don't think it will be anything but an extra feature. They would be slitting their own throats if it affected single play in any way.

Eh. I knew it. If it's online matchmaking or some other such stupidity, I'm just going to ignore it.

But a standalone co-op mode - a story-driven one that doesn't involve Shepard, if at all possible - would kick ass.

Anyway, the forums are being a lot more level-headed about this than I thought they'd be. I guess all the zealots have fainted from the revelation. The actual raging shall begin once they regain consciousness.

First kinect, now multiplayer. So, I'll have to wait until March mostly because of 2 features I couldn't care less. Oh well, I'll at least have a blast playing BF3 until then. I hope it's just a little element as described in the tweet. This reveal seems to be good for them as they've got some new magazine covers for that.

Anyway, I'm not much interested in that. What I want to know is about character reveals and single player gameplay features.

PS: I noticed it's weird to have to distinguish sp gameplay and mp gameplay in Mass Effect.

I'm not even mad at this point.
I'm just disappointed and depressed. I'm honestly not seeing any positive aspect about MP being added to Mass Effect now of all times. It's not going to make it any more eligible for GotY or any more appealing to the CoD crowd if it's co-op modes only like so many people speculate.

The worst part it, I'll probably end up playing it and enjoying it. Because if I don't, I feel like I won't be getting the most out of what I had hoped would be the best game I'd ever play. But I thought that because no single player experience since KotOR had ever gotten me so hooked in as Mass Effect did. I thought Mass Effect was beautiful because it didn't need to follow the CoD or Halo crowd. But it has.

I know I can't do jack about this, but...
BioWare... I am disappoint.

You can see a positive in playing as a Krogan running around shotgunning other Geth? Not even a little bit?

They already sell singleplayer map packs, so if they add multiplayer, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Wonder how long it's been in development for. We all saw the add for MP developers ages ago, but I'm pretty sure it was only a couple of months ago they reconfirmed it was a single player only game.

Anyway, I'm up for it.

What irks me is that I used to play Enemy Territory years ago, and there were 6 stock maps. Then there was an absolute flood of fanmade content maps like Desert_Temple, Venice, Braundorf, 1944_beach, 1944_Huertgen and a whole other massive load of maps and mods which actually added features, reskinned all the soldiers etc. etc.

And guess what? They didn't cost a single penny. My ET folder must have had like 30 custom maps in it and I didn't have to pay for a single one of them. Now we're going to end up with a pile of sh*t where Bioware gives us four maps, then charges us £10 for another four, and everybody will just pay up like suckers.

Jesus Christ, I'm going to look back at this a few weeks from now and feel like I acted like an absolute wanker, but right now I'm just pissed off. <_<

Well, crap, first bad sign I've seen for this game. I would've rather seen a seperate mass effect game with multiplayer included into it. My big hope is that bioware doesn't crap out on the single player because of resources being diverted into the multiplayer.
