I have asked Priestly for a official multiplayer forum section as I highly doubt this lone topic is sufficient to discuss the multiple ideas people can come up with.
I wanna come up w/ a tally for all the duplicate nerdrage threads that get locked in that section if it ever becomes a thing.
TAKING ALL BETS! I'm guessing somewhere around the 20-30 range.

It wasn't deleted, Twitter was just having a hiccup. I fixed the link.

I have to admit, I didn't care much for the idea of multiplayer but the entertainment it's naysayers give me makes it all worth it.
Does that make me a bad person?
It just makes you a bonafide member of the Bioware Defense Force. But that's a surprise to no one.
If Dave has joined the BioWare Defense Force, does that mean the whole world has turned on its head?
Dave's been BDF from the beginning. The world's fine. And Bioware has just implemented yet another trend into their franchise. ME1 seems like it was made by a diffrerent company at this stage.

Can we get off the commentary about BioWare's fanbase and back on topic please?

Waste of resources if you ask me. That extra 3 months could have been spent polishing the single player.
Singleplayer has been literally ready since Dec of 2010, they been polishing it for Months now. Plus they did say they wanted to appeal to a larger audience

So going by that cover, it's 4-way co-op(disappointing as I was hoping they would limit it to 3 for story purposes). Also Wrex as a squadmate seems more likely in addition to two new (human it seems) squadmates.
Ok, you're seriously going to have to explain that one to me. What I see on that cover is Wrex and really bad fan-art of Sheploo and Liara. No where do I gather 4-way co-op or two new human squadmates.

Pro's:
-MP might actually be fun.
-Even if it isn't, you don't HAVE to play it, though that is an admittedly weak defense.
-BioWare might be doing something unique, and not the same shooter MP stuff we've seen 1000x
-We know nothing of it yet, so we could be pleasantly surprised (or unpleasantly)
Con's:
-MP will be taking resources away from the single-player, including money and memory space that could have served the story of ME3.
-How experienced is BioWare Montreal with creating multiplayer like this? Creating a brand-new multiplayer for a game is risky enough, but even riskier with devs who don't have any MP experience under their belt.
-The final game in the trilogy is a REALLY bad place to introduce multiplayer. Usually with games like this, it's a better idea to introduce MP in the second game, and refine it for the third (or scrap it).
-MP can't work with the ME gameplay as we know it. Obviously we can't pause with the power wheel and such, but how will physics-based biotics like Throw work? What powers will be available to us? How much of the RPG aspect can they preserve without making ME3 multiplayer feel like just a weak Gears of War?
-Many of BioWare's fans are the type that prefer SP over MP. I don't see a majority of fans cancelling their pre-orders (though some are, if responses on this forum and on Twitter are to be believed), but I also don't see many jumping into the multiplayer eagerly.
These are just my thoughts, and I'll still be getting ME3 when it comes out, I just won't be playing online personally. I play Mass Effect, and BioWare games in general, to get away from the "pwning n00bs" crowd, and in my hundreds of hours playing both Mass Effect games I never once yearned for multiplayer of any sort. I can't see this as a good thing, but I won't be condemning BioWare to the deepest pits of Hell for it either.

Well, crap, first bad sign I've seen for this game. I would've rather seen a seperate mass effect game with multiplayer included into it. My big hope is that bioware doesn't crap out on the single player because of resources being diverted into the multiplayer.
My worries are that they'll save some of the campain for co-op mode only. If it doesn't interfere with the single player in ANY WAY then I don't really care. Of course it's a terrible development but we can't do anything about that now...The abomination called multiplayer has reached ME at last. All good things come to an end eventually:(

It's not supposed to be erotic, it suppose to be interpreted as a signof disrespect. Though like I said before my problem isn't multiplayer per se but couldn't they have waited a year or two after the Finale to introduce it to the IP? I would've bought that game. But if this multiplayer option/element isn't a co-op of the main campaign with very little effect on the core game then yes I don't have to think twice about cancelling. I'll just have Shepard die in the Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2. Problem solved.

In co-op? It might be possible. In traditional online matches? Not even a microscopic similarity to a positive, with a million thirteen-year-old snarl-fountains playing those same krogans.I012345 wrote...
You can see a positive in playing as a Krogan running around shotgunning other Geth? Not even a little bit?

That's because the original one got deleted, and they made another one. Why? To fix the spelling error.

OXM took a crop of the original image in Powerplay.
