If someone want to prepare for the co-op campaign, take a look at my thread social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/8476271. I'm really excited for some co-op fun! (I know, too soon, but whatever...)

Let me summarise with a nifty list.
- There is no valid reason to suggest that SP will be compromised because a MP element has been added. They very likely have dedicated teams and budgets so that this doesn't happen. You can't sit there and say it'll be crap. You haven't played it. You have NO idea. You're making absurd assumptions.
- They are business and are trying to make a return on their investments. It isn't a sell-out or whatever some of you like to claim it is. It's good financial sense to extend your franchise to different markets.
- Here's the thing; it's not just about YOU. You can't always get what you want. Other people will have expressed an interest in a MP element. They get their chance.
- It's not taking anything away from the game; it's making it BIGGER. Instead of having one game, you get two. Bonus.
- It's their baby. They can do whatever they want and you can do nothing about it. Except DON'T BUY IT. And of you don't, someone else will. It's no skin off their nose.

Is that Liara on the right? If so, she's unrecognizable.

So going by that cover, it's 4-way co-op(disappointing as I was hoping they would limit it to 3 for story purposes). Also Wrex as a squadmate seems more likely in addition to two new (human it seems) squadmates.
Ok, you're seriously going to have to explain that one to me. What I see on that cover is Wrex and really bad fan-art of Sheploo and Liara. No where do I gather 4-way co-op or two new human squadmates.
Actually that is not Liara but another Asari
Right. The only actual defined character on the cover is Commander Shepard. The other characters seem to be just random soldiers representing different races/factions.

Agree. Multiplayer (please be co-op!) section is absolutely a MUST!mineralica wrote...

I have asked Priestly for a official multiplayer forum section as I highly doubt this lone topic is sufficient to discuss the multiple ideas people can come up with.

Are you kidding? Look below this thread. He locked all of them and started his own. I bet he's raging though, up until the tweet he was scolding people saying it wasn't in.
After playing GoW 3 horde, I don't see why ME3 shouldn't have something like this, and its more likely than coop.

Multiplayer could be really awesome. I don't get why people are so negative about it while they don't even know what it will be like. To all those right now saying that multiplayer ruins the game and that you won't play it; I want you to keep that promise. Because I'd like to see your faces when multiplayer turns out to be good.
Because it's a waste.
98% of games with any MP element added to after a few months the MP player goes away after the newness wears off now granted there are some games like Halo, Transformers: War For Cybertron, Gears of War, and Call of Duty but they are the exception not the rule. Every single MP feature has the same damn modes! I'm sick of deathmatches, team deathmatches, free for all, capture the flag, horde, co-op, and every game with a MP has the SAME damn kind of MP features! It doesn't matter what game it is or what they call the features they are the same.
Also most of the updates, patches, and DLC are for multiplayer and not single player. I have never seen or heard of a single player DLC for any of the Halo games, or Transformers: War For Cybertron.

Next bad news: ME3 requires Origin!!
If it does, let's just say BioWare is going to lose a sh*t-ton of money. I'm sure all those players who decided not to purchase ME3 because of Origin will still find some way to play without Origin. I cancelled my pre-order for BF3 bcause of Origin. I would not hesitate to do so for ME3.

Before giving up finishing Shepard's story over this, I'd like to know what "this" is. If "this" means something really horrible, like changes in main plot for multiplayer, then my Shepards' story ended either in ME1 (Reapers didn't arrive at all. TROLOLO) or in ME2, depending on Shepard. On another hand, "this" might end up absolutely harmless.Bekkael wrote...

Ir's never too early to cancel pre-orders.
I can't believe people are willing to give up finishing Shepard's story over this.
Nothing is for certain now and, I'm afraid, it will be so until release.
Nothing is certain, but I really don't think it will be anything but an extra feature. They would be slitting their own throats if it affected single play in any way.

If you guys want to open a thread to discuss the particulars of Multiplayer, well, as far as I'm concerned, that's totally fine. This was meant to be as an announcement thread.
