But it's skin off MY nose that I don't get to play ME3 the way I wanted, so I LOSE.

Yes, they have the right to abandon the single player gamers after pretending to care about us all this time. They didn't tell us about the decision until now because they wanted to hide it.

No, they don't care if I don't buy it. But I care that I lost a game I want to play. So don't tell me I have no grounds for complaints just because you say I am unimportant.


Duuuuude - I think you can stop rocking back and forth in your cold shower now?  The SP is still going to be there in all its glorious solitude.  In all likelihood the MP is an addition to the game rather than anything else.

All of these hints and details are pointing to a co-op mode that fits into the main story somehow.... in which case, that would be pretty cool. Other games have managed to work that in well, so I think Bioware will do a fine job at it.

I would love for the ME franchise to have multiplayer. Just not in ME3. :(

Why couldn't we just get a Battlefield/Mass effect spin-off?! :crying:

Yep. They KNOW there would be people who would not pleased. The least they could have done is to prepare detailed explanations along with the first release of info.

The "wait for more details later" approach showed that they don't care.

Hooray - the people who kept up the endless MP threads were right! Now they can officially rage about it in a single thread...oh wait, it's the BSN - like THAT is going to happen. I was never against multi-player or for it, so this doesn't affect my feelings about the game in any way. People crying over multi-player as destroying their single-player experience and/or behaving irrationally do amuse me, though.

Personally, I think this is one of the stupidest things they could have done at this late in the series. If they wanted MP they should have waited until the next ME game and integrated it fully into the series they would be starting then.

I will not cancel my CE game, but I will not be playing ME MP much or at all. Waste of time and effort Bioware.

Why?
If its competative:
Im gunna buy battlefield 3 and SWTOR for the multiplayer i dont buy single player rpg's for their multiplayer. Single player games that add competative multiplayer end up being tacked on, dead space etc. Lackluster experiances that you play for one game and get bored of.

Co-op:
Fine not gunna play it but if it is the main story, but co-op specific missions detracts from the single player experiance.

Btw id like to say im not gunna lie and say im gunna boycott the game i started the triliogy so ill finish it but if it is competative MP future mass effect games will not be on my purchase list.

I hope it dosent become a trend for bioware, there are to few single player rpg's around these days and its getting harder to find my fix.

I don't hate you. I actually agree with you. :) But the job listing said for the multiplayer programmer to take existing single player systems and make them multiplayer safe. That smells of coop to me.

And if it's cool? I mean, wouldn't they leave it to the Montreal team for that reason? Because they didn't have time themselves to come up with a good/creative/fresh co-op?

I don't get it, honestly. It's not like they're avoiding the rage because it's announced very early compared to release. And it's not like the people who really hate MP wouldn't leave/rant anyway. 

It just seems like you could have so much more damage control (especially given DA2) by just being upfront about it.
