Do it for Shepard...he's waiting for you to tell him how this all ends. I believe in you. :wizard: The story must be told, and no MP element can take away from that. Have faith.

Lol i'm sure bioware is regretting that the fans found out this way. Once all of BSN gets wind of this news, these forums will be hostile.

The funny part of the MP announcement:

The ME fanbase doesn't want multiplayer.

Sorry but small community called BSN =/= ME fanbase. Try harder.

No, the casuals are not part of the fanbase. They're just casuals.

do we really want to start that argument?

Erg, you seem to be pretty oblivious to the world. Go to any gaming website or go to the facebook group. The ratios seem at a constant 80% don't want to 20% want.

Funny, here I thought multiplayer was an attempt to draw in NEW customers, not cater to the existing fanbase. Why wouldn't BioWare try to add features that would draw in new customers? This is a product, an item for sale, that is intended to generate revenue for the company. If this feature improves sales, it's a good thing for BioWare.

Well, if ME3 has an "amazing and massive story" button, that removes all of my worries.

As long as it doesn't have an "awesome button".

So? They're still a large part of the buyers.

I don't care as long as this does not interfere with the main campaign, wich is the only reason i buy the game.
If it's a co-op mode i might even try it, if it's pvp i will never push the mp button.

Oh. Hey. Multiplayer. I'm not really sure why they'd throw it in now, but I'm glad they told us.

Personally, I'm not touching it. Other than L4D, I don't do multiplayer nowdays. But I'm happy for those who are excited about the news, and I've got faith that the SP will be just fine.

All I hope is that I'm not constantly reminded in-game that there's a MP mode and I have to play it to get certain content. No, Fable 3, I don't want to play with friends in Windows Live to fully upgrade this weapon. No, I don't want to make out with another Hero to get past this Demon Door. If they pull that with ME3, the completionist in me is not going to be happy.

[insert 'you played Fable 3?' joke here]

Funny how ME3 is going to be saddled with a host of "features" that are largely unwanted, such as multiplayer, motion/voice control, Origin...

They are adding multiplayer so they can nickle and dime you by selling you map packs. You heard it here first and in time will come to be.

305 people isn't the ME fanbase.  Not even every single poster on the official ME forums is the ME fanbase.

So losing their original fanbase to a bunch of CoD players and then having them eventually abandon them for MW4 is a good thing?

While I'm not going to boycott ME3, I'm quite sure a lot of people will in light of this news. All that's left is origins clarification.

Anyone who'd seriously not buy ME3 because of this is either:

a. Someone who's lying and will buy it anyway or

b. Someone who never intended to buy it in the first place.

c. someone that preorder DA2 and get stabed in the back..........

So how do you accurately determine whether we want it or not? Does not supporting everything Bioware does qualify you as not a fan?

If it's not taking resources + devs away from SP and is being developed separately I don't really care.

If it's something like Demon Souls that *could* be cool. (as long as it can be turned on/off)

Relax fellow RPGers, Skyrim is coming out this November and we will get to enjoy a long, quality RPG from a developer that isn't going to sellout.
