Well, I'm waiting for reviews before buying.  I want to know if it's worth the money. 

That and a definative answer on Origin.  I won't be buying it if I have to install Origin to install or play the game.

I'll be buying it, but it's definitely going to be the last Bioware game I buy. If it wasn't for the story and characters, I probably would have dropped it after 2. 

I see no reason not to get whatever garbage they push out in a steam sale.

Yeah, well I doubt DA3 and Mass Effect: Wars are going to be even worth $15. TOR is probably the biggest WOW clone I've ever played in my life, so glad I got to test before buying into the hype.

To be fair, I saw on the Bethesda forum that Oblivion sucked, that it was simplified, and that Skyrim will be more simplified that Oblivion, that the graphics will suck because they're concentrare on the Xbox, that Bethesda is catering toward the casual and console players. How's that different from what's happening here (mind you, I don't like MP, and I'd preferred if it wasn't here.)

You mean, the first-person, non-party based, walking simulator? Skyrim is coming out... and people who like story-driven party based games don't care. Which is why you see the rage over Bioware in the first place.

I can't speak for those who play on the PC, but what about the xbox 360 crowd that uses the gibbed save editor?

I know there is no worries when it comes to SP games, but what happens if someone tries to play the MP content? Will their console send a red flag to MS?

They probably won't be able to play, because saves could be modded to have an unfair advantage.

So I'd wager that modding the game would become a bannable offense or something.

Well I am dissapointed... Why the frak do they add multiplayer to every game? I don't want multiplayer! Stop investing resources to multiplayer add invest in the single player campaign that made Mass Effect great in the first place! Dissapointed Bioware you hear?

I think the anger will diminish somewhat as more details are released and folks get used to the idea. Also, when more reassurance is offered that the single player game will be unaffected. That's probably the biggest concern for many fans.

Perhaps, but I'd rather not play them at all. It just stands as a testiment, just like how I refuse to buy future Call of Duty titles.

ME is a single player game. Adding multiplayer to a story driven game like Mass Effect is nothing but a joke to bring in shooter fans. EA at it's finest...<_<

Part of the whole reason ME was such a successful franchise was because of how well it combined 2 genres.  Why would this be any different?  They already stated it's not necessary and doesn't detract from the main story (check the twitter thread).  Mass effect was trying to bring in shooter fans from the very beginning.  This isn't new.  The sky is not falling.  Now you will have something to do after you've beaten the game 5 times, enjoy it.

305 people is actually a VERY good sample size for what a fanbase wants. Statistically the data is valid.

Funny you mention that at times when I mention the BSN to anyone that works at game stop or in general that knows of it they tend to just sigh or roll their eyes. This site doesn't have a positive view among most gamers.
