I know the immediate reaction by some is to panic and think of how this will ruin the Mass Effect series or whatever. PLEASE do not over react or assume the worst until you actually hear details on this feature and how it will work. I will try to get approval to give you details so you can make up your minds with the correct details. Marketing's plan was to announce on Wednesday, but I'll see if I can speed this up.

So, until you learn the details, I urge people to have cautious optimism or wary negativity until you get the real details. Thanks everyone. Stay tuned.

Thanks Chris. I personally like the idea, as long as it's done well. I trust bioware to create a compelling story for the SP, and the MP to be as carefully thought over as the SP.

I'd rather it be optional. So I don't have to waste money on something I won't use.

Yeah, but considering MP is likely the reason for the delay, and ME3 was originally being released in what, novemeber, those resources would most likely have never touched the SP campaign.

So your saying I have to wait another 3 months because some DumbA decided a great single player series NEEDED multi-player to top it off???   Gee thanks, would rather have the game for Christmas time instead.

Can you say if multiplayer is just this 4 player co-op or if this is just a part of it?

Where did this assumption your friends will take over the role of a squadmate aka Garrus or Tali etc? Seems to me it will be Shepard A, B and C running around screaming at each other = "Shep A you go left!", "Shep B you go right" and "Shep C go mislead the fanbase on BSN and Twitter".

I'm willing to wait.  But I have little hope.  I will need a lot of convincing at this pont.  The way this has been handled was not conducive to building trust with me.  My negativity at this pont is very wary indeed.

Also I'd like to take note of the whole 'We'll address your concerns' 'It's not as bad as you think' phrasing right off the bat.

They KNOW we don't want multiplayer, they simply don't give a damn. We are not their target audience anymore; the mythical 'CoD crowd' is who they're trying to attract. Presumably because they are easier to relieve of their money? Not sure there. Apparently 4+ million sales just isn't good enough for Bioware anymore.

I'm going to miss my FemShep, but I can take a hint that I'm not wanted anymore.

Why would I change my mind? Its bad enough we were lied to, but to announce it without any clarifying details doesn't exactly affirm me toward the feature.
