To people who don't approve of multiplayer give it a chance, don't jump to conclusions.
I did. *flameshields up*Forsythia wrote...
No one really wanted this, BioWare.
But I still have faith in you that this actually turns out to be an interesting multiplayer mode. You did that for previous games so let's not make this a lame deathmacht or horde mode. You can do better.

Perhaps there'll be Co-op mineral mining?

Ir's never too early to cancel pre-orders.
I can't believe people are willing to give up finishing Shepard's story over this.

Absolute disgrace, After the pathetic offering that was Dragon Age 2 and now they alienate their hardcore corwd by introducing something the majority of us do not want is a disgrace. Every game news site i have seen (Gameinformer, xbox360achievements) the comments are littered with dissapproval and disappointed. ARE YOU REALLY THIS OUT OF TOUCH WITH YOUR AUDIENCE BIOWARE? Youu use to be a developer i admired and loved, now you are just another developer creating mediocre games. You cannot hold a candle to Bethesda and CDPR these days.

I'm going to hold off judgment until I get concrete details on what the MP aspect entails. Personally I wouldn't mind if it ends up being co-op similar to Resident Evil 5, where a buddy can jump into the main campaign and take control of a party member. If it's competitive I'll need to be thoroughly convinced of its implementation before I start to care about itI'm cancelling my pre-order.
You'd assume that a 'real fan' would give Biwoare the chance to reveal what the MP actually is and why they put it in. I don't believe that anyone that says they're cancelling their preorders based on MP they know nothing about was ever a true fan.didymos1120 wrote...

not like this.they always ride on there high horse saying its a single player experience. then turn around and betray real fans that was there from the start so they can bring in cod fans. that a sellout to me
Oh, now we're seeing the "real fans" card being played.

Now we just need a confirmation it's the 4-players co-op as it was rumored for months

I hope they go in a direction with MP similar to what Ubisoft did with Assassins Creed. People didn't think MP would work in that game at all, and it actually ended up being very unique and fun and fitting with the game.
I'm just worried because I think MP in any form does not jive with the strengths of Mass Effect. Even though combat was improved in 2, its still no where close to something like Gears or Halo. The strengths of Mass Effect...story, characters, atmosphere, soundtrack, dialogue...simply do not translate to multiplayer.
I just don't see any way it can work, and even if they do figure something clever out, who's going to play it? They aren't going to see huge MP numbers. People don't buy Mass Effect for its action, they buy it for the story and single player experience. If there's MP in ME3, why should I play it when I have Gears 3 (a near perfect MP experience, thanks to years of polish and established, fun gameplay)?
Introducing MP into ME3 just seems like a forced move to me. Does BW really want this? Is this what they envisioned when they were in pre-production for ME1? BW has zero track record in making MP games. They're just starting to figure out how to make a half decent shooter than is controllable and coherent. ME3 is probably the biggest, most anticipated game BW has ever made. Multiplayer seems like an unneccessary addition that could bog down valuable resources.

Meh. The promise of the single player game in ME3 already seemed great to me. I don't see how MP will have much of an adverse effect on that.
