**** you.

**** you up the ass, BioWare.

NOT EVERY GAME NEEDS TO HAVE MULTIPLAYER IN IT. GET THIS THROUGH YOUR THICK GODDAMN SKULLS.

Nobody asked for this. And yet you do it anyway.

Calm down, man. You do know it is an entirely optional feature, right? Posted Image

Very valid point since he already stated will be story based co-op, if you can't play unless have friends who also own the game aswell as the on the very same system you use aka PC, 360 or PS3 then thats story content you can't play if requires co-op to play. If it can be played as single player with AI companions like would do in single player game (if he didn't lie about it being story based) then technically it's not so bad because it can also be classed as single player content.

That would be swell if you could play with AI companions. I mean it should be possible right? It's not like they have to solve any puzzles or anything.

Agreed. I hope the Co-Op is not forced on us.

I have never played a Bioware MP,nor did I plan on it.
Lag kills online gaming. Companies do nothing about it,but always find a way to charge you more for it.

Can we find a way to separate dsl, wireless, routers, limited bandwidth and speeds.
No? Did not think so. So stats and competition are meaningless on online mps.
Unfair lag advantages make mp pointless. The more you lag,the better mp player you are.

Look at GoW. Ppl eat pointblank shots,or get shot 4&5 times, shoot you once, and think it is normal. There skilled prevail. What a bad joke mp is in general.

Go co-op and and play on their laggy pos wireless dsl router. And watch ppl skip all over. Its not normal it is your connect. Keep pushing mp,keep charging us more, and keep doing nothing to upgrade the service of mp.

Look at CoD. You can honetly get kills by shooting air. Wow and CoD mp mechanics have barely changed in 10 years. How much money has been made by CoD by simple changing skins.Adding 20 dollar map packs.

Yes I play mp.
Yes mp can be fun.
Yes mp is nothing more then another way for companies like EA to rip you off.

So yes it is very easy for me to see mp hurting more then helping.
There is a budget for ME3. Now that budget deals with mp and mp dlc.
Hurting the chances for the number and quality of dlc released for SP.
Hence no matter what mp, has and will continue to affect SP.

Like I said many times....ME3 already looked like a very linear third person shooter. With energy swords and railgun sequences!!! Is anyone really surprised by multiplayer, since ME3 pretty much looked like a third person shooter, anyways?

Whatever the outcome of the single player....full effort wasn't given to it. Some of the effort was given to multiplayer.

How people cannot comprehend this simplistic logical correlation baffles me.

Your reasoning is based on the unverified premise that a single team worked on both the single player and the multiplayer, rather than have two teams working at the same time. I'll give you that there could be integration problems even so.

You do not contemplate the fiscal element...funds spent developing multiplayer could be directly spent on enhancing single player.

I feel your rage man, but dont think this was Bioware's doing, mainly EA's.

EA has a wonderful reputation of f-ing up things. x| (Dead Space 2, C/C4, etc)

EA was the direct cause of those? How do you know?

There have been four major uproars about ME3's new features now - most if not all unnecessary.

-Omni blade: Use of this weapon is optional.
-s/s romances: Pursuing this in your ME3 is also optional.
-Fem Shep face voting: Playing as default Fem Shep is optional.
-multiplayer: Playing with others is also optional.

...Anyone else noticing a trend or is it just me?

NAH!  Thats silly talk.

Except it's supposed to be story based co-op so if you don't play it you're gonna miss out on part of the story.

It would have to include it imho if it's story based like Casey said. Because failure to do so excludes people from the story based content no different than having DRM to stop people playing single player game if not logged in to some spyware. Unless they force you to team up with random people in a LFG style nonsense or PuG if you happen to have not enough friends own both the same game and same system you have it for yourself.

You know, I like your way of thinking. Perhaps we lone gamers won't screwed after all. There is still hope. :wizard:

That is assuming they don't add a single player option to that.

Except the multiplayer is supposedly story based so saying it's optional is like saying playing the game is optional.  Technically correct but thats kind of why we buy the game.

Just because it has a story in it doesn't mean it isn't still an option. Nothing is stopping people from going on youtube and looking at videos that will no doubt be posted to get filled in on all the story (if the co-op has a different story than the single player in the first place). s/s romance plots will no doubt have a story line of their own, but then I don't see you saying that that isn't optional either.

I will say this though. Bioware completely ****ed this up. Why were we constantly given non-answers in regards to MP up to this point? Why not just come out on an open forum and admit it to the public, letting us react and receive response as such. Instead, they waited until it ended up getting leaked by some magazine and then just decided to throw it out there with no real response other than a tweet from Hudson telling us to wait.

Nobody should be surprised by the reaction on here. Bioware dropped the ball on this one and now speculation is running rampant.

You also miss out part of the story if you don't read comics, books, played ME Galaxy etc.

To everyone saying bioware denied that multiplayer in ME3, am I the only one who remembers them adamantly denying that Legion would be a squad member, as well?

Like 300 times?

Oy, I feel offended that such a yokel is trying to speak for me. I asked for multiplayer.
