Hello everyone,

I've looked in the cutscene forum and the audio forum but I can't find the answer to my problem.

In my add-in module, which has single player checked in the hierarchy properties, I've used existing SP sounds, such as a snippets from the Dalish Warden origin and Nature of the Beast, in a cutscene that takes place in an exterior area.

I've also used sounds from the core game resources in that cutscene. While I hear both in the toolset, I hear only the core game sounds in the game, not the SP sounds.
  • i've located the relevant fsb's that the sounds come from, copied them to my module's override folder and added them to the resources of my cutscene, using the .fsb extension in the name.
  • I also exported the cutscene with dependant resources.
  • "Play Sound Events" is set to true
It still won't work :pinched:. The sounds are not associated with creatures or placeables, but I did place them near the relevant creature/placeable.

Anyone got any ideas?

Edit: I forgot to mention, the cutscene is triggered by an area trigger.

I fixed the problem thanks to DahliaLynn's post about custom music in your cutscene. Just assigning the sounds to your cutscene isn't enough. Here's what worked for me:
1. I used an fsb extractor to find out which fsb the sound that I wanted belonged to
2. I exported the fsb and fev files to my module's override folder
3. I exported the cutscene and opened it in the toolset (not via the palette window)
4. In Cutscene Resources, I added the strings with the names of the fsb & fev files, with extensions
5. Saved the cutscene

That did the trick.
