@Valdrane 78: Actually - I think that you just either had a great idea, or gave me one.

What if the multiplayer Co-OP has nothing to do with Shepard at all.

What if it's with characters like Big Ben?

Basically - nobody players Shepard during the co-op missions... but, if you complete the missions, it adds to your Shepard's efforts.

Shock and horror!!! Multiplayer has been confirmed. We've been saying it for months, but the fanboy/girls just wouldn't listen.

This and the fact that there are so many "premium" titles being released between now and the holidays; is the reason for the delay. Not to polish it into the best game ever as many have been asserting. ME3 will be my last Bioware game, depending on reviews from independent websites of course. If bad; then ME2 will have been my last.

How much units did that sell? Yeah, silence.

units are in millions:
DA:
-X360: 2.16
-PS3: 1.33
-PC: 0.40
Total: 3.89

DA2:
-X360: 0.79
-PS3: 0.44
-PC: 0.31
Total: 1.54

Hell yeah, that's great!
I hope it will teach them a lesson or two in the future.

EDIT @Prince Zeel: Ahh - then please don't speak as an authority for what "roleplaying games" should be. Since you've never played one.

CRPGs (the C is for Computer) are more like advanced choose your own adventures.

OH go suck yourself. I'm so tiiiiiiired of these oldage ****s always trying to "school" me on the history of games. Listen, if this was a game design course, then maybe you'd have some sort of ground to speak of. but right now, we are dealing with 2011. The definition of RPG's have changed and as such, i can speak of playing them.

regardless if i've rolled the dice on a dungeons and dragons board.

So, anyone with more experience and a grasp on the history of RPG's is living in the past and has antiquated notions about game design.  But anyone coming after you is a kid without a proper perspective on RPG's and how they should be structured.

Yep, you definitely belong on the BSN boards.  You're home.

yep, yep, yep. Keep stretching. Why don't we slap some horror elements while we are at it? I mean the whole Reaper invasion is kind of scarey, right

Oh and a more driving sequences. thats what Mass Effect needs!

Let´s hope then that DA2 dev comments are because they are more worried of scaring EA shareholders away than players. Otherwise it doesn´t seem they´ve learnt much (Legacy was an improvement, but not that much IMHO).

my point flew right over your head. He can take his history and get a degree with it. Right now, this discussion doesn't require the history of board games. My "perspective" is completely "proper", seriously, do I need to be working for BIOWARE itself to have a valid opinion? Christ. I find this argument lacking.

BSN is filled with fanboys, ya0i-tards and shippers. I do not fit well here at all. which is why I get banned so often.

It's almost as if pandering to the widest possible audience is ultimately self-defeating?

I know. Crazy, right?

Not a stretch, not by any means.  I am doubting that you play as Shep in any of the co-op stuff, and I have been saying it for weeks.  You'll be random Marine recapturing a strategic point or defending a position, something that has to do with the main story line, but happens automatically if you don't play the co-op missions.  It fits the plot without impacting the SP experience.

It will only teach them a lesson if you stick to your convictions and not purchase ME 3.

I bet you will though - multiplayer or no.

And - if you do, then you're part of the problem you perceive.

I understand why you're pissed off but do you want to get yourself banned?

Why is something as stupid and pointless as that needed in this Mass Effect series? If I want to play random American Marine, I have a plethora of games to choose from.

Actually, there's a way around to play a game without giving EA money (that way punishing it): buy a used game.

Sir, I have not been purchasing games before you turned 5.

This is the Internet.

I was planning to buy it, even preorder, but I definitely don't like what I see. The ship hasn't fully sailed yet, but we'll see.

But we're not talking about "dumbing down" to appeal to a wider audience. This news is to attract the MULTIPLAYER crowd, which DA2 didn't set out to do. DA2 had the totally wrong approach. ME3 if anything looks like they've put a lot of the RPG stuff BACK into ME3 that were taken out for ME2.

You may not have much in common with those elements of the crowd here, but your desire to establish your gaming preferences as some sort of objective, platonic good in game design make you a perfect fit.  I just found it amusing that you don't see any irony in discounting the authority of those with more gaming experience at the same time you attack those stupid kids who don't know what a real game is from an imaginary position of authority. In fact, I still do.

(That said, you would fit in better if you demanded that ME3 include the ability to change Shepard's gender in the middle of the game and that the Normandy crew would throw a big party to celebrate.)
