Splinter Cell: Conviction

It should ´be noted that the actionizing of the Splinter Cell series and the increased focus on MP led to Conviction being a Splinter Cell in name only.
If you want a real example, take Pandora Tomorrow in which the MP was first introduced (a competitive MP at that) and the SP was still top notch.
That trend continued up onto Double Agent, where both SP and MP (since Chaos Theory also with CoOp) were great.

How so? Co-op missions actually provide a storytelling opportunity that Shepard's journey can't. Imagine if these co-op missions take place on Earth, we play as soldiers seeing the desparation of humans on Earth first hand while Shepard is off uniting the galaxy.
A co-op missions that a singleplayer mission can't tell? Hahahahah. I don't think so.
Big waste of resources. I do not support Bioware. DO NOT SUPPORT.

They created their brand of it, though. Execution/Warzone were entirely new to shooters, as was Horde mode in Gears 2.
Anyway, ME's shooter style borrowed a lot of ideas from Gears from a functional standpoint, but the combat wheel and class-specific talents make it much different. ME2 feels more like Gears than ME1, however, since they changed the button scheme to pretty much a copy/paste of Gears.

the multiplayer:
it didn't take out anything out of the SP campaign
Competitive MP:
very balanced and i mean it with the boosters and the climbing mechanics and that you wouldn't die in like 3 shots ot the leg (MODERN WARFARE 2!)
Co-op MP
very good very fun i remember the good old days of me playng with my friends on survival and those co-op missions ahhh good times

I love you guys. Not many ppl know of this series due to poor marketing. The Takes games are so freaking good!

Never said that; Mass Effect's entire style of combat from ME2 onward is pretty much a direct adaption of what Gears did, albeit not quite as smooth but with some nice tech/biotic attacks to make up for it.Scudman_Slayer wrote...

^ Above state is very true- that was great and can't wait for 3 and the return of the smartest wittiest well written characters i have seen in long time.
The main reason why I picked up Vesperia was because i never got the chance to Symphony but did play Abyss.. Oh Jade can give TIM a run for his money in the Manificatent Bastard department.
