To back this up, I just tried this work around and it made the chest clickable for me; the key is finding a solution whereby you have one of your characters standing directly in front of the chest you can't click on, and moving the other one to a stone which makes that chest glitter/lootable; moving both characters in front of the chests worked.

Here is a screenshot I took of it.
The only reason I was able to complete the fight was because my Hawke is a mage and I brought Anders, If i hadn't had a mage with me I would of had to restart the fight.
The bug did make the battle really easy however.

Well Like I said I think I missed alot, the sky horror was a major pain, I think I barely made it through that one, had 1 character left at the end of that fight, I played it with a mage and she died pretty fast, and then Varric, I finished the fight as Tallis, I'm not sure how long Aveline lasted, but I have all the DLC armor/weapon packs so that might have been how I managed to get through it. The only other fight that took me any significant time was the last one but I didn't lose anyone it was just really long, I kept my team moving. I made it through the tile room pretty quick, I didn't waste alot of time on things that were bugged (I read the forums prior to playing it), honestly I didn't find the tile room to be much of a challenge, I think the tile room took me somewhere between 3-5 minutes to get to the vault, but thats just a rough estimate it could have been a little longer but not by much. I'm on my second playthrough and I'm taking more time looking for stuff, I have spent a little less than 1 hour and I'm not even done with the hunt yet, lol, so I'm expecting this time to last much longer.

Hmmmm, I just rolled back to the 11.8 drivers for now. When I'm done I will go back to the newest version and hope Skyrim and The Old Republic like them :-)

Here are details about my problem:
While playing the Mark of the Assassin DLC the game freezes up when the party
arrives at the Duke's mansion. Once conversation is initiated, the
cutscene video eventually freezes up while the audio continues to go on.
If I alt-tab out of the game, I notice there is a message saying my
video drivers stopped responding and were reset. If I try to tab back
into DA2, the game crashes and I get a message saying the program has
stopped responding.
I've never had any serious problems with Dragon Age 2 before and this didn't happen until after I installed MotA
and tried to play it. I even recently finished the Legacy DLC without
any problems, so I'm assuming it's something to do with this DLC. None
of my other games are having issues if that matter (Crysis 2, Deus Ex,
Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, etc.).
Also, this only seems to happen when I converse with the Duke and it always seems to happen right
around the time I ask him about the merits of wyvern poison. I've tried
this 3 times and had the same result every time.
My version of the game has no mods installed.
One side note: I recently purchased Rage and due to their absymal PC launch
downloaded AMD's hotfix drivers to increase performance in that game. I
thought perhaps that was causing the issue, so I uninstalled the
ATI drivers and manually removed any driver references from the registry
and appdata folders, just in case. Then I reinstalled the old 11.9
drivers. That did not fix the problem.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

He ends stuck somewhere in the forest and cannot be interacted with.
The funny thing is that he gets stuck in different places depending on which conversation option I choose when Prosper is dangling at the cliff edge. The ss above is when I choose sarcastic option and just let him fall on his own.

Now, I'm sure this is all very funny, but I'd like to be able to finish the DLC, so help would be very appreciated.
I've tried a lot of things, changed difficulties, changed renderers, reverted back to a slightly earlier save, changed graphic drivers, uninstalled the game from Steam, redownloaded and reinstalled this time through Origins, but the bug is still there.
I'm going to try with another Hawke and see if it repeats.

There is an open thread about the Crash that is being experienced in MOTA during cutscenes at the Duke's mansion.
ATI 5800 series cards seem to be the thread of in common traits between posts.

You are neither blind nor dumb, I had the same problem, if you tried to run the DLC right after you download it then that might be the problem, exit the game and try it again, the statue will be in the upstairs area of the library in Hawke's estate.you might have to start a new character and play it from Gamlens house, I had an Act 1 character already going when I downloaded the DLC, when I couldn't find the statue I restarted the game and played my act 1 character and the statue was in gamlens house (in the same room where all the other DLC's show up), after finishing the DLC with the Act 1 character I was able to play it with my other higher lvl characters. Not sure if I had to complete the DLC with the Act 1 character or not or if I just needed to restart the game in order for the statue to appear. I hope this helps.

Free Bonus Item bug:
-According to the dlc page at bioware, there should be an additional free item if any of the achievements for Mark of the Assassin is unlocked, but it won't trigger. This needs further inlook as perhaps only a dev/bioware member could contribute a solution or even may know about this bug.
Edit: This has been solved. The website you need to go to to redeem The Deep Green unlockable item is http://social.biowar...da2/mota_bonus/

The above didnt solve the issue, at least not for me.
It shows in my registered game content, and when I go to the link you posted above, it shows this "You already have The Deep Green entitled to your account. You can find the item, and instructions on how to access it in-game, on the registered game content page."
Followed the instructions and Its not in game and doesn't show up on the characters unlocks in game or on profile here.
