Read. Or don't, if you value your soul.I enjoy secrets so i never researched anything about the new romance options. I've loved Tali more and more. Every word was just another layer of glue. Her voice and personality were first to raise my eyebrows. Then her movements came in, slowly I began to love her body, the designs of her suit her hands and her legs. I fell in love with the recurved legs they were so fascinating. I was disappointed that I couldn't pursue anything with her.
ME2 comes around. Again, i like secrets so i do no research into the LI's, I didn't even know that you could recruit Tali and Garrus back. When i first saw her on freedom's progress, I'll say that my heart did stop and my mouth opened slightly. The "No Way" factor came into play which became a "Please Recruit Her". Finally when I saw the mission to recruit Tali, I dropped every mission i was doing and immediately recruited her. Stayed in my team ever since. I visited engineering after every mission, I visited everyone after every mission. And this is the part that I remember the most.
"The most intimate thing we can do is link our suit environments and even then we will get a little sick. It's the biggest sign of trust among our people. I haven't trusted anyone enough to... well not quarian..."
I think I stood looking at the top option for five minutes, i was in shock and slowly breaking into a large smile. After my pause, I clicked it immediatly, and smiled more as she freaked out with her arms flying around nervously. I was speechless. It was amazing, everything. I stopped talking to the rest of the crew and only went down to engineering. Everyday i went to talk to her, it made my day. It was always simply amazing.
Then right before the collector mission, the final romance scene. I couldn't stop smiling and I couldn't stop staring at the screen. Liz actually managed to make her sound nervous and desperately in love with him. The strains and cues in her voice were spot on to the situation. When Shepard took the mask off and the screen faded after the pounce. I was so mad. I played the suicide mission the next day. I couldn't do anything more after being led on by that scene.
Oh my God what is this I don't even
I'm actually gonna show all my RL friends talizorah.org now, it sounds hilarious.

Firstly, the majority of the entire fanbase does not actively post on BSN. Many of my friends only have BSN accounts for DLC and CNetwork activation.Neurotics wrote...
Please explain.
Those on the extreme ends of any fanbase are generally far more vocal, searching for forums and sicussion boards to discuss the subject that they are 'obsessesd' about.
Thus, TaliZorah.org
Those who wanted to avoid the obsessiveness joined Clan Zorah.
The simple fact that there seems to be more creepiness over one character does not neccesarily mean anything. It's really just basic statistics.
Regardless of the fanbase, there will be a similar percentage of people who are: Creepy, more vocal, or both.
If you notice that there seems to be a huge amount of creepiness in the Tali fan base, that does not mean that there are a higher percentage of creepers in that fanbase, it only means that that character has a much larger fanbase in general.
Ever since the monster threads of old, the real creepiness has actually subsided manyfold. In fact, I've been far more disturbed by what I have seen in other fan threads than the Tali one.
In the Tali one, the creepers went off and formed Talizorah.org, leaving the vocal people who were not as creepy here on BSN, thus forming a visual inbalance.
And referring the the 'Tali's sweat' thing, I don't get why people think that that is such a bad thing.
Let me give you an example.
I loved my physics class. I loved it so much that I started applying my knowledge to other things.
Before I knew it, I had calculated the effectiveness of using Volus as the ammunition in Everest class dreadnoughts (roughly 23 times more energy than the standard slug based on rought estimations on mass and size, assuming that the volus would reach the same impact velocity and has a consistant density and 100% of the energy was released on impact).
If I was hugely into biology, applying my knowledge to other subjects would come as a great bonus and I would spend much of my own free time to such.
Before I knew it, I would probably have something similar.
So it's less of a 'creepy talimancer' thing and more of a 'Holy sh*t I'm smart' kind of thing.
And besides, I know the person who wrote that blog. He is probably the smartest person I know and is definitely not one of the 'creepy' talimancers.
I'll take your word for it though.

Some of the more extreme Talimancers can be a little weird, but I personally find the Talihaters to be far more annoying.
Why can't they leave us alone and go to there respective threads?

Speaking of TaliZorah.org, this thread is a perfect example of the creepy Talimancer:

The OP is talking about Tali as if she's his real world girlfriend, rather than Shepard's, and as if he's actually in love with her. Some of the other posters follow suit.
Ha! Is it just me, or do most of the subsequent posts go something along the lines of "the moment I heard dat voice/saw dem hips, I knew I was in love"? Well, I suppose if there was ever a reason to be obsessed over something, superficial reasons are as good as any! Only some of them mention personality - which is still a creepy level of intensity, but it does show some value to the character other than "designed to be hawt".

If you want to avoid such creepiness and/or the usual trolling and stupid on BSN, I suggest joining and interacting in CZ, as that is a much more... friendly... network.

Pure comedy gold!
Anyone who asks what a Talimancer is, should be directed to the above post.

Although many Talimancers will deny it, the whole reason there was such a large fan demand for her to be romanceable between ME1 and ME2 was 'dem hips.' Let's face facts: Tali was the least developed as a result most boring squad mate on your team in Mass Effect 1. I've heard her described in ME1 as the Quarian Encyclopedia, and I think that description is spot on. There is practically no character development and all of her dialogue serves little purpose beyond opening up Codex entries on the Quarians or the Geth. She was also the weakest squad mate on your team when it came to combat.
Considering how she was a walking codex entry in Mass Effect 1 and her usefulness in combat was limited, the fan demand that she be made romanceable was based almost entirely on her body, and to a lesser extent her voice acting. If the Quarians had instead been given the bodie of the Volus, there wouldn't have been much of a clamor to make Tali romanceable no matter how 'hawt' some people thought Liz Sroka sounds.
To be fair Tali is much more interesting and fleshed out character in ME2, her loyalty mission is a lot of fun, and she's more useful in combat in ME2. But Talimancers have been around since shortly after the release of Mass Effect 1, and the loud and obnoxious demands that she made romanceable back then were based almost entirely on superficial things. I think this says it all TBH. I participate in a few active fan bases, and have accidentaly stumbled upon the seedier side of things for a few of them, including some rather bizare fan art for Tali that I'll never be able to unsee.
I just ignore them safe in the knowledge that my fandom is as innocent and pure as the winter snow. Most of the time...

Hey, I'm a 19 year old boy looking for a girl with curvy hips and a thick Russian accent. Must be comfortable with wearing a purple mask and hood at all times, except during our romance scenes (IN REAL LIFE!) where I pull it off as you stutter. Will meet you at PAX or Comic-con. I am wearing a suit of armour that says "N7" on it. Look forward to linking suits with ya!

They only come around every 50,000 years to extinguish everyone who dislikes Jacob.
Hence why nobody is left by the end of it.
