Of course, even if your partner is into gaming, its important to be attentive to their needs as well.

For example, mine just hinted heavily that she'd like me to install the MotA DLC onto her machine so she can play it tonight.

What annoys me with my parents is that they will criticize us about playing an interactive video game for a few hours a day. Yet, apparently them sitting their butts on the couch to passively watch hours of TV is perfectly normal and fine.

That's a thing i alway wonder too. Why is it ok to watch soap opera all day but not play games? Or (as is popular in my country) court-shows and life-coaching-shows. Same with booked times for playing. It's ok to say "no, on mondays at 20-22:00 you may not call me, in that time i watch series xy and may not be disturbed" but see the look in their faces if you say something about weekly raiding-times.

BTT:
I play online games since about 12 years. 5 years ago my wife started too (up to then only playing Civilication). At first it was to teach me a lesson. How bad it is if all play games (untidy lodging, simple meals). Maker, went that plan bad. *snicker* Now she's playing as much as i. It's ok for her now that i play, but we too don't like it to work in the house, the other is playing the same time. So we usually have shared working and playing times.

Only one thing disturbs her since a few weeks. She's really upset me mentioning Leliana and Morrigan.
