Well maybe thats what Bioware seeks to accomplish, because If it was only singleplayer you wouldnt get the chance.

Because, you know, Mass Effect totally needed multiplayer. Sarcasm. Once again. Honestly, why can we not just focus on the single player? Bioware, you are not, and I know this is going to surprise you, all powerful and knowing. You can't have a game that does everything. I'm sorry. In other news this makes me question changing my preorder for the game.

It's all about the war profit.

Hard to say it won't affect SP when benefits from playing MP roll right on over into SP.

I can assure you, it means a lot to a lot of people here, to the point that many don't give a crap in the least that the MP may suck.  Now whether those people actually believe that it won't take anything away is a different question entirely. 

If Halo could do it why can't Bioware,the are more than qualified.

I didn't say they couldn't. I also wasn't stating my own position, just one that's not uncommon around here. In fact, I don't really have a position on the MP mode yet. I'm cool with the general concept so far, but I'll decide whether or not it sucks when I actually get a look at it.

I'll wait until ME3 is in the bargin bin before getting it. Before I heard the MP announcement I was going to get it shortly after release. Well, the silly kinnect thing also dissuades me as well.

Now if STOR was free to play, with smart micro transactions I might give it a whirl. SO far it looks to be a Starwars skinned WoW game with voice acting.

MP CO-OP?

Personally, I'm not very interested in it. I'd rather the zots had been spent adding more missions/environments to the SP game. You may have spent the zots on different peronnel to add this 'feature', but zots are limited ( at least, so we get told a lot here). So yeah, those zots were diverted from SP to this new thing. That is suboptimal IMO. And potentially the thin end of the wedge going forward.

No, I'm not raging about it. Nor is this a demand for you to do what I want. Just telling you what I think of the new 'feature', as a paying customer. Ignore it, or not. The feedback is in your hands now.

Sounds like an EA executive. Making the determination when the money is in the bank isnt going to work with me. We all know its another, shall I say, Gears of War aspect to ME. I'm new to the forums, but have any fellow forumites noticed how ME is becoming more and more like the third-person shooter Gears of War? My girlfriend also cancelled her preorder today, and for her that was the biggest reason.

Sweet jeezus, then don't play the goddamn MP. Nobody is forcing you to. Is Casey standing next to you pointing a gun at your head? NO! I would try to explain that you can accomplish the best ending without ever touching the MP, but your fanboy brain wouldn't comprehend any of it. I was against MP, but instead of freaking out I actually read, really read some more details. The new info makes me think I may play it before I finish the game, but I will probably hold off to avoid being spoiled by someone who finished the SP first.

I've gone from slightly anxious to MP to fairly excited! Able to play as non-humans? AS DRELL? Color this fan excited.

My only burning question, we'll be able to play as female aliens, right? I mean like turians, krogan, salarians, etc? It'd be incredibly disappointing if you could only choose female humans or asari, to be pretty honest.
