Question for the devs (ask this on Twitter): has both Montreal AND Edmonton worked together for previous Mass Effect titles, or just Edmonton? Because if it the former, that means SP isn't being compromised at all.

According to the dev's on Twitter, the game is 30+ hours long, so I shall assume 25.
That's not exactly what Jesse said to me in that tweet. He was at 30 hours in his current playthrough.. At.

I hope that MP is primary there to enhance re-playability and not required for ANY of the posable endings.
Also this...

I have a ping in the 2000's most of the time is this MP going to be peer to peer or server based?

25 is pretty good. A complete playthrough of ME1 takes 25 hours or so. ME2 being closer to 30 hours.

BioWare Montreal was created after the release of Mass Effect 2
So, basically...
The same amount of time/work/effort is being put into ME3 SP as the previous iterations, because the same amount of people is working on this one?
This is good news. My skepticism is mostly gone.

You have to be kidding me. So this is going to be "LOL AMASS RESOURCES FOR ONE BIG BATTLE AGAINST REAPARSSSSSSSSS".
Nope, I'm done.
So you...
Summarized the content in a single sentence,
Misspelled a few words,
Typed it in all caps,
Held the last key down at the end of the sentence,
Then put 'LOL' in front of it...
...and that proves it's retarded?

Do you mind sharing those tears? I'm a bit parched right now.
The implementation of co-op sounds interesting, and...it is completely optional. As long as the single-player campaign itself has roughly the same amount of time as ME2 did, then I'm fine with the new addition.
Keep believing that there... Keep believing that.
Sorry but this is a bad idea and I just feel it is going to mess up the game, through bugs, being rushed, or many other reasons. Yeah, I don't have good feelings about this at all and I am not quick to fall for the PR they rushed out to quell the anger.
What I said is that IF the single-player campaign has the same amount of time as ME2 did, THEN I'm fine with that. Maybe you missed the whole IF/THEN construction there. If the single-player campaign gets short shrift, then I will not be a happy camper. See that? There's another IF/THEN!
That being said, I also don't view co-op as the end of the world. There are plenty of games where multiplayer has enhanced my gaming experience like Portal 2 in which the co-op is, in my opinion, innovative and complements the main story. The single-player campaign was also strong. Meanwhile, you can go be irrational and cry in the corner and bemoan your fate or whatever it is you're doing in here.
Hey, believe what you want.
You should not be a happy camper now.

Back at you... Optimal is one of many endings which also doesn't answer what actual impact MP has in the single player game.

I was slightly wrong apparently BWM was opened during ME2, however it has grown in size substaintially and more staff has been added at BWE (myself included) some people moved from BWE to BWM as well. However like any project some people from ME2 have left but also some have gotten better and created better practices.

I'd advise for you to wait until the game comes out and check it out yourself. No offense but you will obviously not be satisfied until you play the game (if you play it).

Hmm, let's see how you feel when you get to the end of ME3 and all the Quarians die (or whatever) and you discover that to save them you had to either play co-op or scan another 40 planets for minerals in SP.
Not a problem seeing as the mining game from 2 is apparently gone for ME3. Even if it's still in, my quarians would be alive and well because I would've scanned those planets a long time ago.
