Must they keep doing the same things over and over again, stagnate rather than evolve their designs?

Maybe you're sadly just... whatever enough to think that telling someone that their "fanboy brain" can't comprehend something is an insult.
As for whether we've read it, hmmm... let me see if I have this straight. There are those important points you'll need to do stuff in the SP campaign/story, called War Assets or whatever, right? And you can also "earn" them in MP, and use those MP-"earned" War Assets in our SP campaign, right? That's what we've been told so far, isn't it?
So unless the details are written in a language that happens to use English words, structure, and syntax, but means something entirely different... THEN WE BLOODY WELL KNOW the way in which MP and SP are linked, and that linkage is too damn much.
Too damn bad. It's BioWare's game, not yours and not mine. ME3 is near completion and nothing major will be changed from this point forward. Deal with it or move on. Nobody is going to make you play the MP portion of the game ffs. I do apologize for the "fanboy brain" crack, but these complaint posts are becoming absurd. It's in the game, try it, you might like it. I understand if you don't like playing MP against humans, but you won't be. You'll be taking on AI enemies with a squad of human players. Imagine playing ME2's SP with a team that wasn't stupid. I would be willing to tackle Insanity with a group like that.

I don't think anyone's suggesting that Bioware hasn't dabbled in MP before, we're suggesting that their commitment to single player games is waning - a dubious sign of things to come and somewhat coincidental in view of EA's announcements regarding multiplayer gaming.

Oh, by the way, thanks for unintentionally confirming my analogy by using the same arguments I made against romance

Yeah, keep waiting. Your timezone isn't Bioware's timezone, and that's what they always go by. You've still got 2 hours to go.

Right now, me buying ME3 means I support a BIG feature, that can influence the outcome of the game to some degree, however I don't need or would want it.

Well, we all knew it would happen sooner or later with some Mass Effect games.
I just love everyone's reaction.

Yes. You can apparently solo it. Don't know if the difficulty will scale to compensate for that though.

Well, I'm a fan of the AC series, and I was disappointed with the lack of additions to the SP in Brotherhood, it played exactly like 2. And the MP was just another CoD level based style piece of crap. And I'm not prejudiced against multiplayer, I'm prejudiced against it being added to single player games because companies want a quick sales boost. I've played a lot of multiplayer games over the years. I actually like Halo's multiplayer, I've tried MoH, CoD, Battlefield, Borderlands, Fable, Bioshock, RdR. Fighting games, shooters, rpgs,MMOs, just about every type out there. Some I like, some I hate, some I'm totally indiferent about. Not wanting multiplayer in one type of game doesn't make me prejudiced.someguy1231 wrote...

No, I won't. That's the exact point. If I wanted a multiplayer game, I'd buy a multiplayer game. Two games, totally single player. I expect the third game in the series to be the same. That's why I was pissed when Brotherhood announced Multiplayer, and that's why I'm pissed now. I don't want to play this game with other people, this is supposed to be a story I can imerse myself in to GET AWAY from other people!
Brotherhood is pretty much the best example of how to add MP to an SP game series. Barely any AC fan I know of was disappointed by the SP and the MP was well-crafted in its own right. If Bioware is looking to other games as models, they should look to this one.
And you don't want to play it with other people? Well, guess what: YOU. DON'T .HAVE. TO! It's still the same SP game, made by the same team, and the game will retail for the same price. If you went to a restaurant and ordered a steak, and found the steak came with a free, optional side-order of your choice, would you complain the steak was ruined?ReverendSID wrote...
Now, you might be right about the lack of achievements in Dead Space 2, but on the other hand, that lack provided me an incentive to buy the game even after the announcement that there would be multiplayer. But even still, I tried it. Once. It was crap, it was pointless, and it was tacked on as an afterthought. Now this mode doesn't seem like an afterthought, but it still doesn't sound like something I want to play.
Since you've made it clear you're prejudiced against MP, I don't know what they could do to make it something you'd want to play.

My working theory is that a large proportion of people on the internet, and thus on the BSN, are in truth vorcha:
"Vorcha assault each other frequently, causing their young to gain strength, intelligence, and resilience. As a result, vorcha see inflicting and receiving pain as normal communication."
