That was until I read this:
"The multiplayer experience boils down to a four player co-op survival style mode that lets you fight increasingly difficult waves of Cerberus foes."
Not Cerberus again
I'm actually less happy about the whole thing now than I was to start with.

And yet it's claimed that the MP missions can be accomplished solo.
See why I don't trust this crap coming from corporate?
Hmm, I'm not sure I understand the correlation between the two? Why wouldn't you be able to complete this solo?
If there are no bots, and your mission involves one person accessing data while the other person covers them, or something along those lines... then how are you going to accomplish your mission single-player?
Ah see I was thinking the other game modes they mention, which wouldn't even require multiplayer. Hold this position, Capture this point, Kill this man, retrieve this package. Essentially think what Pinnacle Station turned out to be, but (hopefully) good.

@didymos1120,
Don't expect to hear actual responses from everyone. The majority of people like to be listened to, rather than to listen.
Actually no, if you ask stupid or immature question you don't 'deserve' a response.
Such as nit picking aspects of is 1 pixel changes on screen it's ok but 2 pixels not ok? Which along the same lines of his questions. There is a limit to how petty a person's question should be and he crossed that line.
i remember this guy from the start of the thread silly questions all the way threw not to mention accting like he knows the ins & outs of the gaming industry
List my silly questions.
I asked...
1. Will this 'readiness' and 'impact' effect a single "cinematic", "dialogue" or "mission" in the entire single player game in the sense of won't see that cinematic or dialogue or be able play that mission or quest unless do co-op.
2. Will it be mostly MP DLC to come, or SP DLC.
3. Is MP based on 'have to have' four friends that have the same game and same system for that game to play? Will it be PUG or LFG based random people in team to make up numbers? Or can it be played as single player with AI controlled companions?
If you consider that silly or immature question then there is something wrong with you.
There is world of difference between that and what didy was asking.

Just solo the co-op missions and show off about it on Youtube. I'm sure lots off people will.
It'll be like Arrival 2.0.
If it's possible.
Then again, I have yet to hear any dev deny it and many other things in the same article turned out to be true.

But that's the point, if some of the MP missions force you to recruit an ally for the sake of terminal hacks etc.. then it CAN'T be done solo....Someone With Mass wrote...

According to the OXM article, no bots.
It sounds like you can take it all by yourself if you're on a high level, though.

And no im not one of those muppets who think companies shouldnt make money but its not like the ME series didnt make any money before they decided to add MP. Greed.
Theres no truth to the "Oh this would really develop the franchise and add depth/challenge/anything to the last part in the series and make it more epic" crap that they will claim was the reason behind the decision to add it.
We all knew this was gonna happen after seeing DA2 get herped derped.

I did all Terrorist Hunt missions in Rainbow Six: Vegas (1 and 2) solo on the hardest difficulty. I honestly don't think ME3 will be harder than Vegas on Realistic.

Sounds like it was completely optional, though. Or they could make it so you can place a hacking device a la LotSB on the terminal and then you have to defend it.

It would be great if you can play it solo. Hey, if you copy Gears, why not copy that too? And splitscreen is a must, as online will probably be dead after a few months. And of course, couch co-op > online co-op.

You neglect to mention that you made a rather absolute statement in the post I originally responded to: no differences of any kind. I asked if the inevitable status update infoboxes due to completing MP missions were something you included in that. You then gave a less than clear answer regarding a less than clear distinction between text and UI elements. I asked for clarification, using a concrete example. You've now spent a quite considerable effort to not provide it.

Now THAT, I wouldn't mind! but I'm becoming increasingly purturbed by the frequent use of the term 'optional'... that's just a euphamism for 'exclusive'
