What I expect is for the story to suck really bad and have no closure, the gameplay to be quite good, the dialogue wheel to be implemented incompetently yet again, previous decisions to make virtually no impact on anything again, and Garrus to misinterpret my friendliness as an invitation to butt**** me. And, yes, probably some mind-numbing BS padding.

But like I said, I still have some hope.

Dude, if I expected that out of a game, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.  Why even bother?

Because it gives him something to complain about.. sorry man

There is always that! :P

Relax, I'm just responding to your points.

Seriously: don't do that.  Not everyone will see the originals, and will get the idea I said something I didn't.

Sure, but the onus is on them to convince me to buy their game. "Whining" is also called voicing your opinion as a consumer. If they really listen like they claim (which they don't, or they wouln't have included it in the first place) they'll be taking the negative reaction into account.

The fact that their Twitter says :"There will be a multiplayer component for ME3. Full details soon, so wait until then before making your decision. We think you'll like it!"  tells me they knew it was going to ****** people off, but they did it anyway, for the cash and for the dudebros who look for that bullet point.

You're upset because they didn't listen to you.  BSN represents the entire ME fanbase.  Plenty of people are looking forward to it

BSN doesn't represent anywhere near the entire ME fanbase...

Would splitscreen mean I could play it by myself, just by connecting two controllers, and setting one down?

If so, I am in favor of splitscreen.

I am sorry to say but I do have no interest in a co-op section of the game.

The Mass Effect series has always been about, for me, tailoring the events from the perspective of Shepard. It's about creating that personal experience that is unique to me alone.

Co-op, no matter how well done it is, can only detract from that. I will not be having that unique experience as I will have to now share it with three others.

Then don't play it. One of the best things abotu teh 4 player co-op multiplay is that it is optional. If you liek it, great. Play and enjoy it. If you (like me) are a single player game who plays games liek ME3 for the story, don't play the MP and concentrate on the single player experience.

even though the details does somewhat relieve my fears  i would like to see it in action regardless

Um, how do you figure?  If it just makes some other non-central SP task optional (say, whatever the equivalent of scanning is), then I don't see how it matters in the least.

Riiight. An equivalent of planet-scanning, the most universally hated feature of ME2, being forced on SP ME3 players who don't want co-op, doesn't matter in the least?

Alright, let me give this a shot...

I don't think he's actually talking about scanning planets or some annoying minigame but rather an alternate way of obtaining minerals, armor or weapon mods...

I'm thinking a co-op mission where you and some others are fighting some sort of enemy; Husks for example...

This one area is completely overrun by Husks and your team's mission is to wipe them out. After eliminating all of the Husks, your team finds a large amount of minerals in the area and you decide to send it to the Alliance or something. After that, when you load your single player file, Shepard recieves 10,000 Platinum.

I'd definitely prefer that to scanning planets...

You're starting with the end of the trilogy, kinda weird but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I'm wondering something about the multiplayer component.

Do we have to have exactly 4-players in order to have a go at the missions? Or could we go with just a party of 2 or 3 players?

The reason I'm asking this is because I may or may not be able to get a full party of 4 friends together every time, and I'm just wondering if I'm gonna have to invite some stranger from a server or something, because we generally like to play amongst ourselves.

Why is everybody saying its unfair? Its not like it has a leaderboard or anything. Do you want a story based experience or only shooting?
Even so, Completing each portion of the main plot will probably do a lot more than 5 coop missions. Me, I'm gonna be playing coop, but still do everything in the game.

I asked the same question a few pages back. I think it's safe to assume you will be able to with one or two other players, with bots taking the remaining spot(s). That's how it's often worked anyway.

And plenty of people aren't. Someone else posted earlier that the reaction on places like Facebook was extremely negative compared to here.

Somehow, I don't think a lot of people were genuinely asking for this.

They included MP, knowing Xbox Live was required, so it certainly was.

No worries, I got what you meant. It's funny how so many people think BSN is at all representative of the common ME fan.

1) This is blatant PR spin.
2) If even people at Bioware don't like MP, why the hell is this included in the game?

Oh right, money.

I'm losing interest in ME3 very fast.
There are too few elements that make me want to play the game right now, and this MP feature doesn't help.

One guy says EVERYBODY (Ever) on Facebook hates it, including my grandmother, so the truth is revealed! Who can argue with that?

And just because no-one asked for it doesn't mean it was a bad idea. We'll have to wait for the execution to see that.

Agreed. This dualplayer element better be really weak so it doesn't overshadow the real game. (Like portal 2 dualplayer) That's the best I can hope for right now. How will they preserve the rpg element and have a dualplayer? Will it be a massive rpg or just a shooter? How do they expect to pull this off?
