You're joking, right? "We have no comment" universally translates as "Yes, what you've surmised is mostly correct, but we're not going to talk about it until later."Lard wrote...

No, they played it right. They eased it in really well.
Refusing to comment and misleading people into thinking it would be a single player game is not "easing people int it".

If that is fine, then why is the option to have some of your human friends join in not?btw - ability to play multiplayer missions as solo with henchmen is an acceptable compromise. becasue as it stands right now? this is basically content that is unacessible to me. not optional. unacessible. and yet if I wanted to play a main game, I have to pay for it.
becasue Cris, dear - its not an option. if I can play alone - i could care less if you play with others. but I cannot play alone. I have to play with other people or not play at all. but still pay for it.
at least I'm goddamn trying to find a compromice here that would work you know for all involved. discounted game that comes with single player only. or multiplayer being available as a solo option. something that doesn't just lock out content while still requiring full price.
make no mistake about it. I still feel that multiplayer HAS taken away from single player development.
Just play the single player. Quit with the strawman and ad hoc ergo propter hoc.
you are all heart and soul of compromice, arent' you.<_< I don't know about you, but you know not living in my parent's basement and having to actualy budget - I cannot afford to pay for content that I will never use. 60 dollars is a lot of money. 80 dollars for collector's edition even more so.

Just one question, what about the different decisions each player has made in the previous games? How would these technically collide in multiplayer? Or is the influence just omnidirectional and single player has no affect on multi player just vice versa?

Or is the influence just omnidirectional and single player has no affect on multi player just vice versa? If not then what if two players have different choices, say one saved the Rachni the other didn't? How does the game handle such a situation? Do our games function individually, as in the person without the Rachni doesn't see them in his game and the other one does? If so then how does it make sense in multiplayer for each person in your squad to be playing his own game rather than a cooperative game? If multiplayer is just a completely different section with all races unlocked and following the paragon route then how will it make sense for someone who got rid of the Rachni and they appear in multi for them but not in their single player game?
Okay that's not just one question but you know for a shocker like this I think I'm justified in wanting some clarity so I can be just as hyped for the game as I have been since last years VGA's.

So now it's openly confirmed that the Bioware staff lied to by repeatitly saying that Mass Effect is a singelplayer experiance on these boards?
I personal have no fundamental problems with Multiplayer but these kinds of jokes severly damage the credibilty of Bioware staff.
