Bleh, multiplayer achievements.Don't make them as ridiculous as the game you're copying, BioWare, and expect me to kill 3.000.000 enemies.
Yeah. Stupid crap like this made me put both of the Gears of War games at the bottom of the pile. 3 is not all that much better.

Two questions. First, will we still be able to edit parts of the game to our liking? One thing that pisses me off about games with persistent connections is that they often gimp any form of modding or customization so as not to "imbalance gameplay."This concern includes programs such as Gibbed.
Second, I'd really like to know for absolute certain whether it requires Origin or not. I have a feeling that that's an affirmative, though I hold on to the slight possibility that I'm wrong.

Since you won't be able to pause in online play, will they now consider adding more mappable powers to the xbox/ps3 controller? Or will we only be able to select 3 powers?
If neither of you can be bothered reading the first post, why should I bother giving you answers?

Its only an issue if you can't handle not having all the Achievements

I did read it. I was asking about whether MP will have any impact on letting us map more powers. I don't see any way a radial menu could work in a real time environment

@sp0ck 06:
Q) How does pause and the radial meny work in multiplayer and will class abilities function sameway in MP, like they do in singleplay? Juha81FIN
A) There is no radial menu in MP. There's a simplified version of it (kind of) that doesn't pause the game - as was mentioned above, affected abilities have been adjusted as needed.

Usually I would buy the game retail, but as it's got a multiplayer function, it would be easier for me to have it on Steam and play the co-op with friends on there.
I am looking forward to trying out the co-op though!

Bioware direction left the forums.
If you have an actual question about how co-op works, then feel free to post it, providing you have checked the front page and the question doesnt already exist. Otherwise, try directing your nerdrage and butthurt at the discussion thread, where people will be only too quick to point and laugh at you for getting upset that a purely optional form of gameplay gives you a purely optional alternative method to obtain the exact same outcome as you can achieve in SP mode.

Would I be able to buy the ME3 on Steam and use the code from a Steam version to play Galaxy at War?

As far as I'm aware, ME3 will only be available digitally via the Origin service, and not through Steam.

It optionally affects SP. I don;'t have a problem with that, no.

Thankyou. I guess I will know for certain nearer to the time. It is just more convenient to play online via Steam. ME1 and 2 or both purchasable through Steam, so I thought it could be possible.Bogsnot1 wrote...

Brenon explicitly stated that there wouldn't be a radial menu in the co-op mode. And that answer was included in the OP.

OXM article said no. But we can't take everything magazines say for sure if there's no direct quote, so we should wait for official confirmation.Gokuthegrate wrote...

It's possible, if EA and Steam ever resolve their little spat over DLC and who gets to sell it.

Yes, I am aware. I was asking about mapping buttons on the controller...

Seeing as we dont even know if it can be played offline as yet, theres no way to answer this.

It's interesting that the devs have just avoided that question so far. Suggests it might (and I stress the "might") be under consideration, but they don't want to say so because people would inevitably see it as a feature that got removed rather than one that was never officially in.

I guess it would be possible to map more powers to the d-pad now that we're not commanding squaddies with it.

Oh, OK. Well, considering that the controller will still have the same number of buttons, and they'll still be needed for the same functions, I doubt it. With one possible exception: allowing squad control to be used for powers instead. So, at most, two more powers could be mapped.
ETA: Wait, nevermind. That would allow up to four additional powers.

Well, some of them anyway. And I think you're underestimating the number of people who are more or less neutral on MP until they see it in action. For myself, I like the concept they've gone with, and it sounds like it could work really well, but I have no idea if I'm actually going to enjoy it or not. And I would have been just fine with no MP at all. I just don't think the lack of it would have automatically meant a better game.

- I personally am really interested in Splitscreen - as so many before me asked. I would really really love to have Splitscreen play because I have a rather unstable internet connection in my dorm room and so I am signed out of Xbox Live frequently. In addition, I am all for the solo play in MP for the final game!!
- Also, I would like to know if by playing MP it affects one of my Shepards or all of them. Would prefer one as my brother and I share a gamertag.
