I'm curious as to how it's going to work.

Are there going to be some planets on the map marked as "MULTIPLAYER LEVEL ONLY" or something? Because that's going to shatter the immersion that everyone goes on about.

Did you even bother to read the official FAQ and watch the vid, or did you just come straight to this thread to ask stupid questions?

BAWWWWWWWW! Bioware needs to return to their roots! Their games were so much better in the days of Baldur's Gate when you were restricted to one player! /wrists

The only thing that ruins this flame, is that BG and BG2 had multiplayer, but otherwise, flame away my good man. ;)

Even bigger irony is that very first Bioware game is sci-fi mech simulator with multiplayer!

And their 3rd game is pure third person shooter.

Oh and more then half of their games have multiplayer.

That was the point. That post was supposed to reflect the blatant ignorance these fantards are showing.

Will there be an experience/leveling system for GaW characters that you play or will they all start with the same number of skill points?

You know Bogsnot instead of getting annoyed at people who ask the same questions, because i imagine its annoying at times, just add their name to the question thats being asked. I notice you have names by the question from the people who first asked the question. I was thinking the more names behind one question might show Bioware how many people really want that one question asked. But thats just a thought eh?

Is there going to be zombie maps? If so are you gonna add dlc zombie maps? Also I think it would be cool if there was some dlc only weapons and skins that are better than the ones that come with the game. You may just want to start a monthly fee and give everyone who subscribes the monthly dlc for the cost of the membership.

Zombie Maps:
1) There are going to be husks. Close enough.
2) If you want actual zombie maps like in Call of Duty, NO.

Monthly Fee:
**** no.

 Will get unwieldy very quickly

I say just don't respond to those questions which are repeats, rather than getting worked up over them

Is there going to be a standalone version of the co-op?

I have some friends who don't want to play Mass Effect for some reason but could easily be conviced to some co-op fun.

Wait, more than half?

Shattered Steel, BG1, BG2, NwN, ME3 vs. KotOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Origins, DA2.

Or did MDK2 have multiplayer as well? Image IPB

Indeed.  I won't pretend to like the idea of MP in ME3.  But I am greatful for the information to help me make a more informed choice.

There's a level cap of 20 in co-op. Take a guess.

I am curious if there will be local co-op. For example, if my husband and I want to play on the same system is that possible?

I've been looking for an answer to this, but haven't found anything. I'm guessing this hasn't been answered yet? I hope there is a local co-op option, my husband and I would like to play together on our XBOX as well.

The various platforms will most likely be restricted to their respective networks.

But it's certainly possible to have crossplatform with PC at least. Microsoft was pushing it with GFWL for like a month before the dropped the idea. :-P I'm sure they wouldn't be opposed to the idea. And since it's coop, you wouldn't have to worry about console players ragequitting from getting owned by a mouse and keyboard.

There's even DC Universe Online, which I think is crossplatform between PS3 and PC. I doubt it's possible to support both, but why not ask Sony and Microsoft if they'd be against it? Better yet, pit the two against each other. Tell them "Okay, the first of you two to say crossplatform will be okay will be the ONLY ones to be supported by crossplatform with PC on your system." It'd totally work. ;-)

The engine would likely have to have been designed with this intent from the start. My guess is that it's not (just?) a political issue, but a technical one.

I'll pass judgement when I see it, but if the multiplayer makes the campaign trivial compared to SP-only campaign, you can bet my judgement will be delivered with sword and fire.

Some of us enjoyed ME as one of the rare single-player franchises who still bother to deliver the story and bring us an epic game; if that's taken away from us...well, let's just say I'm saddened to be just a statistic in the numbers of those who were displeased with the end product as long as sales numbers are good...

I'm no longer getting worked up by them. The new system Ive implemented placates my rage.

Look at my avatar. This is the look of glee I will have over your corpse should EA implement your suggestion on monthly fees for ME3.

@Vegos: I suggest you look in the official FAQ thread, read whats posted there, and watch the video. Its something you should have done before coming in here and commenting on how you'll pass judgement on ME3.

What I was referring to, was that there is no MP campaign to speak of, and its entirely optional.
Of course MP is going to make some sections seem trivial compared to the SP game. After all, it will always be far easier to achieve an objective with 3 thinking teammates, than it is to do wit 2 who are restricted in terms of not only how they can be programmed, but also the amount of instructions you can give them.
