As of now, you can at least play the MP segments solo. They may or may not add bots between now and release time.

If bots are added, i'll be very pleased, the only reason i never touch solo horde in gow3 is because of this one feature, thank god there are plenty of players for now.

I will enjoy that, I still Play The Original Mass Effect and games from years before. I'm still trying to find out from readings. When mention Solo can it can be done Offline, like Multiplayer offline? I havent found a correct answer any place. I hope you be able to okay CoOp/Multiplayer Offline, local. I'm sure that you can play both ways, I'm hoping.

Q) Can the MP mode be done solo, for those who either dont like MP, or want an extra challenge to finish the game without squadmates?
A) Currently, yes... but it's pretty hard. Though a lot of that depends on difficulty.

Q) Will the Online Pass be user or region locked? Cjail
A) User locked. The Online Pass is ME3's equivalent of the Cerberus Network. IsaacShep

Q) Will Origin be required for PC owners to install and/or run the game, either SP or Co-op? IsaacShep
A) According to the ME3 EULA on Amazon, yes, it is required for installation. Link (PDF)

Note
: I am currently investigating, and testing, legal methods which would render Origin's snooping behaviour null and void, like running it through a virtual machine setup such as Virtualbox. I shall post my findings in the Origin discussion thread in the Off Topic forum, here. This may take a little bit of time, as my system is now blue-screening like crazy following a power outage last night.

Few follow question for these.

You are saying that ME3 MP content can be played solo, but does it require Internet connection?
So, does ME3 PC-version require internet connection and/or EA Online Pass, when played Co-op content (MP mode) solo?
(Is soloing MP (co-op) mode content online or offline content?)

Online Pass

To access the game's online multiplayer mode, players need to activate an Online Pass. New copies of the game include one Online Pass for the original owner of the game to access the multiplayer. However, if a player buys a used copy they must purchase an Online Pass separately.

Are you saying that ME3 can't be played in PC without installing this Origin client at all?
(I ask this because this is not acceptable. I don't install something totally useless for me in my computer. I don't have internet connection on my game computer.)

Origin client

The Origin client is self-updating software that allows users to download games, expansion packs, content booster packs and patches from Electronic Arts. It shows the status of components available. Origin client works in a similar fashion to Steam, games. However, unlike Steam you do not need the client to be running once you have downloaded and installed the game. Users can allegedly uninstall the client and the game will still run fine. The predecessor of the Origin client had caused issues with games such as Battlefield 2 and Spore Creature Creator, leading to crashes of a related standalone product.

Wanted:  Emblems & Team Colours for Multiplayer

I'd really like to see the options to have team colours, and have team badges along with individual player emblems and insignia - for the main Campaign and for Multiplayer.

( How else will we be able to tell our side from their side if they other side has similar armour on ? )
Oh yeah - they're shooting at us !   Still - it would help avoid confusion.

The Halo Reach emblem generator did a ho-hum job of providing a a few okay choices.
The armour customization for Halo Reach is also a good model to consider for Mass Effect 3.

I Dare say Bioware can do better !

The other side is always Cerberus, so thats how you tell (this is co-op)

And I think some customization of armour etc. is something of a given; yeh it'd be nice to get some teams together with matching schemes

It's cool being in the "warned" list, still I read the FAQ over and over and see not direct answer to questions about their "bots" part, only avoiding that part.
Although normally it can be seen as an answer (no, you won't get it), the problem is that we get throwed at our face so many "bioware actually never say that there was not X" (when X finally did get its way in the game after Bioware avoided direct answer about it) that until we don't get a clear "no" we can't know for sure if they won't be there.
That's why I still want the question to be added (and not as part of another question), to have a clear and definitive answer about it.

Quesion added.

The other questions that have been asked since I last posted, already exist, and some of which have been answered. I suggest fully reading the first post.

Also, this is not an Origin discussion thread. You want to talk or comment about Origin, take it elsewhere.

Has it been confirmed that the only enemies you'll face in GaW are Cerberus? I find it difficult to believe that there won't be any husks or reaper type bosses.

Well, given that the question still remains in the unanswered list, you can safely assume that we havent had any news yet.
When we do get more answers, and the FAQ gets updated with them, the title will be revised to include the last update date.

That's not reason, I asked something what has NOT been answered or even directly asked in FAQ?

Ability play solo MP content can be done technical both ways, offline or/and online. So, my question about internet connection requirement isn't in FAQ, and that doesn't mean I haven't read FAQ. Don't make false assumtions. Also question of  LAN gameplay isn't same as offline solo play.

As for other, It was more like question is the installation of software be forced to us and then I pointing for you that by the softwares wiki it can be unistalled without affect the game.

Don't let my opposite opinion about MP affect you judgements.

No, you asked questions which already existed in the FAQ. Whether or not they had been answered is immaterial.
Co-op, whether offline, local split screen, or local lan, has been asked.
Origin requirements, have been answered.

You are right the question has been asked multible times, but it is NOT in FAQ lists.

This is closes to that question in your list:
- Can we create our own server (or do offline co-op), especially important for those in bandwidth-poor countries?
But it's not same as solo offline co-op content (without internet connection). Because reference to server and no solo requirement. LAN could be also consider as not online, because no connection to internet server. Example peer to peer connections LAN.

Origin required has been aswered by you, by pure assumption from you based EULA. What how ever, it isn't same as in Origin softwares wiki says. Small conflict in info.

Okay reading over the questions in the FAQ lists pertaining to the topic I see that my question may have already been asked so I won't bother just in case it overlaps with Nightcobra's query. Looks damn near airtight on every angle of questioning to boot.

Though I think there is one angle that has been overlooked and maybe hinted at in the enemies department inadvertently, according to what Phaedon asked on the matters of spoilers. Double checking and triple checking as I write, I hope I have not overlooked this one potentially but if I did I apologize in advance and say I did my best to avoid it.

My question is this. I know that you said that some of the enemy types in single player will be used, but can we expect bosses that are unique to the multiplayer?

@lumikki: If I were to ask every question, in every single possible permutation, then the FAQ would end up 500 pages long. Make it too big, people will be less inclined to read it, and will post the same questions again.
The question on soloing has been answered. The question on offline or local modes has yet to be answered.
The Origin question has been answered, not by assumption, but by what is written inside the ME3 EULA. It is required for installation.
If you dont like how I maintain this thread, you are more than welcome to stop posting in it, sign up for twitter, pester the devs and get your answers in 140 character chunks.

@domanese: Enemy type and locations are the two types of questions I will not ask due to spoiler potential. There probably will be bosses, but I doubt they will be MP unique, and will be available in SP as well.

An online pass?

Well, that settles it. I don't buy games with an online pass.

So when exactly SHOULD you play MP if you don't want to spoil any story/SP elements? Before SP? After SP? During a certain portion of the SP?

I can understand someone not wanting to pick up a used copy of a game if they're going to have to fork over another $10 or $15 for an online pass. That said, if the same person were going to pick up the game at launch (i.e. new) before hearing about the online pass, then I fail to see the reasoning behind not buying the game anyway since they're not paying any more than they would without the pass.

Unless, of course, the sentiment is one of protest against the practice of companies using an online pass. In which case you'd better find something to do besides gaming, because the prevalence of the online pass is only going to grow.
