Playing as other species sounds good. What I am concerned about it is:

a) The possibility that we won't be able to play with bots (as in, offline squaddies, not spam bots) and that at least one more player will be required to play the co-op section,

B) How the co-op campaign would work. It would be silly to have potential spoilers from the SP or the CO-OP campaign originating from the other campaign, but seeing as the Galactic Readiness meter is supposed to be improved with co-op, there might be some issues with that.
What happens if some people don't have Xbox LIVE etc, Their Galactic Readines meter won't improve. I would love to see bots in the co-op, I think it would make both sides happy.

I'd imagine it would be possible to play with bots. It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult for the programmers to just copy the already developed AI from Garrus to infiltrator bots, Liara to Adept bots, Ashley to Soldier bots, etc.

I just hope there's a Offline CoOp/Multiplayer for those. I'm getting Mass Effect on both systems. I'm though WiFi only right now. I have the old model of the 360. Most of the questions you already have. I have a question though.

Will there be accessible Vehicles and Explorations, how big are the battlefields, can you go separate ways? I hope The fields are big and I hope there are many locations than just Earth.

I have two questions. Sorry if they've already been asked I'm just too lazy to read through all this thread.

1.What races can we play as like a list of them.
2. Can we play offline like by ourselves or with friends who say come to your house and play with you?

I have never played MP for more than a quick run of a Civ2 ToT with a friend that ended in a draw. So the bulk of this thread bugs me as much as anything about Origin. Almost nothing clear about SP posted. I'm a pure RPG fan as far as real time games. Please clarify!

Last-moment prayers then. Dear Baby Jesus, do not let Origin infect disc-version ME3 PC :crying:

hey, they closed the other thread with this questions but it's a question i'd still like answered. will we be able to do the co-op missions offline? like split screen? i remember when all the multi-player games were split screen and you could play them locally, now its only ever on live, meaning you have to have 2 consoles, two xbox live memberships, and two copies of the game, such a hassle.

also, if the co-op levels are only online, will it affect your me3 play through, or your friends play through? which one of us will be making any possible important decisions that could affect the main story?

the info we've been given is very vague, the missions are optional, and it is still possible to get a positive ending w/o them but how much do we miss out on for doing them/not doing them?

don't get me wrong, i'm warming to the idea of the coop levels and think they will be very fun, but you just dropped this huge new update on us and gave us very little info on how it will work. you're spoon feeding us something big but you haven't told us what it is we're putting in our mouths yet.

needless to say i look forwards to the announcement on Wednesday and I hope some of the questions can be answered.

Seriously people, are any of you actually reading the initial post at all? Dont claim to be too lazy to read through the entire thread, because you dont have to, just look at my initial post and I'm updating it with all the questions that get asked. Dont make me regret starting this thread, because I dont fancy having to wade through a ton of ignorance to try and find a single pearl of wisdom buried beneath it all.

The people whose questions got added were;  IsaacShep, SE JN, Phaedon, Beerfish, Ixalmaris, AdmiralCheez.

All others have already been asked, either in current form, or slightly different form. One or two would also lead to spoilers in the answers, and I'd prefer to avoid that.
Those who asked questions that had nothing to do with ME3 Co-op, can feel free to take their questions to the relevant forum, or PM one of the devs.

I'm ignoring any info in that StickSkills page, as it cannot be confirmed, due to its nature of being allegedly leaked info from a December issue of a magazine, provided by a forum member on that site. If its not from an official source, then it doesnt get included in the thread.

I believe some additional information will be incoming soon (within the next couple days?), hopefully that should clarify things a bit - and I think after that point we can probably look at answering specific questions that may not have been addressed.

Thanks for the update Mr Holmes.

Another question I'd like added: Can we have more than one character for the multiplayer? e.g. I get bored of a Turian so I switch it up and play an Asari then use the other character for another mission.

I posted this in another thread, but maybe here is a better place for it. I've never played any multiplayer before (yes, I'm old, no making fun or I'll poke you with my cane), so I was wondering if I could get a "what is general multiplayer etiquette for ME3" question in. According to the CoD forums, it's limited to "no headshots on friends" sort of thing, but I'd like a little help, being the noob that I am.

@Sam: Added.
@Captain_Obvious: Cane? Bah, I can poke you 4 times as much with the legs of my walking frame. ME3 multiplayer is co-op, meaning co-operative, so you wont be playing against each other. I have posted a question asking if there will be any form of friendly fire.

So im guessing other types of enemies will be different types of husks and maybe indoctrinated soldiers?

The whole galaxy will be hunting Cerberus huh, sounds like fun.

Is there going to be offline spiltscreen multiplayer for 2-4 players?

Why was the Origin-Thread closed instead of giving a clear answer to the question?

I think this matter is too important to be wasted in Thread like this, where too much other things will be posted as well.

I'm going to assume you are wanting to ask if we will be able to equip heavy weapons in Co-Op? I think that is a good question indeed...

4 players... carrying and firing CAIN at the same time... "There goes the neighbourhood!":devil::lol:

The Normandy arrives at the coordinates for Mars... but only debris remains.

SHEPARD: "What the hell happened? The Reapers destroyed the entire planet!"

EDI: "Incorrect, Shepard. This explosion was caused by the co-op campaign. Four players simultaneously fired off the Cain heavy weapon. No trace of Mars survived."

SHEPARD: "Dammit, EA!"

@armass: Best to check the confirmed features thread. Enemy quantities will more than likely be mirrored in co-op, depending on exact location and scenario.

@Aliens Crew: No idea why, but lets wait until we get an answer to both Origins related questions nefore we pass judgement.

I hope so.

I have one other question:

Why do BioWare not reward their paying customers with nice things instead of harass them with DRMs like Origin?

Because it has nothing to do with Bioware, and everything to do with their corporate overlords, EA. Consoles also have DRM, only difference is that its handled by either MS or Sony.
Lets leave it at that, as the question has been asked, and we are straying away from the Co-op focus which this thread is designed to cover.
