I have a new computer and I am trying to replay Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 (beginning to end).  My BDTS download requires a key code which I no longer have.

I saw the posts here, but they are a year old and the links don't work.

How can I play the BDTS portion of Mass Effect?

Thanks

Have you tried it? It's a dead end. Totally!

If you still have your old comp, you can find the code. open mass effect launcher as normal and go to configure. Click on Game tab and your code should be there.

Yes, I have tried. It was me who informed Kepha via PM to update it with the new information on how to obtain the key for BDtS. Given that you responded claiming it was a dead end, it seems you didnt actually read it, just jumped back into this therad and whined.

Because you are too lazy and expect everything delivered on a silver platter;

If you don't already have one, you will need to contact EA Support to get a CD key for Bring Down the Sky. The previous way to get a CD Key relied on the old Bioware forums which have been taken down.

I've noticed that the internet is just full of rude, belligerent, acerbic people. I merely asked a question.

I'm not a newbie. In fact I'm a computer tech. The LINK takes you first to the EA support page. There is nothing on that page that is an obvious answer to the question. So, I selected my product at the bottom of the page to look for answers there (the obvious thing to do).

It takes you to a new page with a FAQ page where the FIRST question is the BDTS download.

Click that link. It gives a link that is supposed to solve the problem.

Where does it take you? Back to masseffect/bioware.com where the page does not display correctly and the available links DON'T take you to anything helpful.

So when exactly did you last try this?

Never mind. I don't need this.

Evidently you also don't need to learn how to read. Bogs just quoted Kepha who explains what you need to do.

Since the active poster turned into a Troll with the display of bad attitude, you both were better off ignoring his ignorance and just letting the thread die of old age (boy, do I ever wish that when they hit six months or so without any activity, they would automatically be locked down!)
