I notice a few bugs in my playthrough of MOTA.


1. Sebastian vanishes from the party member screen when the DLC starts. I don't know if this was intentional, but I'll list it just in case.

2. There's some kind of terrible constituion glitch which turns on and off at different sections. As my character was a blood mage, I have a big health bar. However in several sections of the DLC, my health bar seemed to be cut in half for no reason.

3. In the gate-switch puzzle there's two chests behind gates. Opening one seems to deactivate the other and make it impossible to claim.


Aside from the nasty constituion bug however, this DLC ran pretty smoothly for me. Good job, BioWare!:happy:

It seems to deactivate the chest AND a companion item (medalion, love poem, etc...).

EDIT: It's not a bug. You just need to position Tallis and Hawke both on the two switches right in front of the chests. They are both available to loot afterwards.

Hmmmm...

1. If you have Sebastian as a companion, he should be available for your party, unless you are playing in post campaign and he already left.

2. Is this affecting your constitution stats or is just the art for health bar acting wonky?

3. If I remember correctly, a key part of the solution is to have Hawke and Tallis standing on the pressure plates in front of the chests

You might be right about Sebastian. It's been a while, and I think he may have left. I think I may have been mislead by the fact that he wasn't on the screen at all, whereas I'm used to MIA party members being darkened out, I think. My mistake!!

I checked my stats in the attribute screen and nothing has changed there. But in the game play, the health bars shrink significantly in some sections and return to normal in others. This affected all of my party members too. Tallis in particular had a really small health bar in the first section of the quest and she died very easily during that nasty sky goddess fight as a result. Once I got to the castle though, the health bars seemed to normalize. It was very strange.

I'm having the same problem as well. When ever I grab one of the chest & companion item, the other one deactivates and it doesn't matter which order I grab them, the other always deactivates.

I'm having the same problem as well. When ever I grab one of the chest & companion item, the other one deactivates and it doesn't matter which order I grab them, the other always deactivates.



Ok I just got mine to work and got both chest. What I did was closed the gate around quest marker door/exit and then open it again using the switches next to the chests and that let me grab the second chest since the switches next to the gated door now open the gates in the row of rooms going to the chest. I hope this helps

Does anybody knows where those 'fire traps' can be found? I have ended MotA DLC and made all of the quests, still I can figure out this 'fire trap' achievement.

It won't let me select Carver as a companion.

Seeing as I've seen other people saying they brought Hawke's siblings, I'm guessing that's a bug.

Another thing, my Hawke seemed to be in the aggressive tone mode for this DLC despite being played nearly completely diplomatically throughout all of DA2.

Try going back to the Dungeons and entering either door that leads to The Vaults

Which act are entering the DLC from? You should be able to select Carver as long did leave your party for one reason or another

I was also not able to select Carver. It was a post-campaign save where he was a Warden, he had come on Legacy with me back in Act 2.

Not sure if this is a bug or not - I leveled up to 26 but was not able to select level up and distribute any points, and then "leveled" up again so now I am level 27, halfway to level 28 but the level up option is greyed out, and the level-up arrow won't go away. Not sure if I somehow hit and then passed a cap, if this is a glitch or a bug or what, but figured I'd let you know about it.

Now I remember!

Regarding Carver/Bethany,- siblings are selectable as companions, just not at the very start of the DLC. They should become available after you meet Tallis and head on your merry way to the rest of the DLC

Glitch I've found with this game. There is no collectible side quest for Merrill. Isabela has one, Aveline has one. Even Bethany/Carver has one. I've also read there are ones for Fenris and Anders. I haven't tried it with Varric or Sebastian yet. However it seems the collectible side quests for Merrill is not activating if there is one.

New glitch. Final battle, after defeating the final boss the game gets stuck loading. My first run through of the DLC didn't have this problem. Second run through which is this one I am posting about did. Shouldn't be happening.

I had a bug in the cave where after I defeated the chasind guard I couldn't open the gate that was blocking the way out.

got that just now. fixed by reloading autosave, a key dropped from him that might not have spawned the first time around.

Encountered this myself. Just finished a 4th run through (Merrill as LI all 4 Hawkes') and haven't seen any sort of collectible side quest for her.

Is Tallis supposed to be able to change weapon? When you try to change it says she needs the dual weapon tree but she does have that tree.

I don't think you can change weapons for Tallis. those daggers on her are apart of her character. Kind of like how you can't change Varric's weapon Bianca. but that's just a guess.

No, you cannot change weapons for Tallis, They are a unique weapon set much like Bianca.

Is it just me or Amder's quest is bugged i can only find one feather? And i looked everywhere outdoors for others.

I'm having a glitch in the gate room where the characters follow each other instead of staying on the switches and even if i switch them to "Hold" mode the characters still take a few steps off the switch so i can't advance
