Wyverns - those moments when they ran back and forth in the background were some scary moments
New environment - self explanatory.
Final boss battle - gripping without being tedious (like the previous DLC).
Humor - Some of the comments actually made me laugh out loud.
Personal quest - Nice to see it vary with whom you bring on your team.
Dislikes:
Broken stealth - Standing in the shadows solved most problems even if you were standing right in a guard's face?
Tallis - Even though she seemed interesting, overall Tallis did not seem very flesh out and I kept wanting to know more about her.
Game Length - Once again another DLC that doesn't last past an hour or two.
Puzzle elements - One in particular (image puzzle) just brought the fun to a screeching halt and yes I know some of you are great with them and had no problem; however, unfortunately I was not included.
But still overall I did enjoy the DLC and hope there will be a few more to come.

What I think Legacy did better was to make the story personal and important to Hawke. MoA felt more like a side quest Hawke decided to do for sheer fun of it. It also would make more sense if Tallis were to become a permanent companion afterwards. And since it was not the case we should have the option of not having her in the party. Let her follow around like Merril or Anders in their joining quests (with exception of garden party and stealth mission, of course). If the player want her as a companion - fine, but if not, we should't be forced to it.

What I'm especially liking about the DLC for DA2 so far is that in each one I can see there was attention paid to fixing a complaint about the game. In Legacy I could see a focus on novel scenery and making fights less repetitive, and in this one I think progress was made in addressing the "this world feels empty" issue. I thought the scripted events were great, especially the moment where a wyvern leaps across the path as you approach. But even the less dramatic moments went a long way to making the NPCs feel less robotic: the hunting parties moving around and talking among themselves, the nobles in the garden looking at Leopold and every so often jumping back as he roared. It really added a lot to the atmosphere, and I'm taking this experiment as a good sign for the next game.
As in Legacy, I thought the scenery was beautiful, and I liked that we got to see a kind of environment that wasn't included in the original game (evergreen forests). If I had one complaint about the settings, it was the cave (again). I know it wasn't exactly the same notorious cave from the original game, but parts of it felt like The Cave, visually. Perhaps giving it a different kind of feel would have been helpful? Changing lighting or something, I don't know. I did like the parts that were noticeably different (the underground lake area, for example), but I remember when I first stepped into the map I got the "oh, this place again" feeling.
The banter, as always, was great. If I had one complaint about it, it's that I wish there was a little more. There's actually a pretty staggering amount of dialog, commentary and banter in the DLC (I generally go to YouTube and listen to all of it), but when I actually played through it, I felt like I only got to hear a very small percentage of that content. I guess it's a delicate balance---I mean, I wouldn't want the party to be constantly talking, and I don't like when the banter gets drowned out by combat, but I feel like there could have been a few more triggers in certain areas where I was primarily running around not engaging in combat.
Now to Tallis. I have to say that when I first heard about Felicia Day's involvement in DA, my reaction was not all that positive. It's not really anything against Felicia, it's more that my gut reaction to things related to celebrity endorsement/things advertised by "the celeb factor" is avoidance and eye-rolling. I do appreciate that she seems to be a genuine fan, and I certainly can't fault her for wanting to be involved (I'd do it too if I were her). "Tread carefully" I guess is what I'm saying here, because if there's ever a "Lair of the Glamazon feat. Kim Kardashian" DLC I'm bailing on this franchise with a quickness.
One small complaint about Tallis: her class/spec. There's nothing wrong with it on its own, but the fact that you're somewhat encouraged to take Isabela with you means half your party now can't take a hit. I played the DLC with my assassin-spec rogue Hawke and I felt like I couldn't bring Isabela with me even though I wanted to, because it would have been an exercise in frustration. If your Hawke is anything but a healer you're stuck with a suboptimal party if you take the two companions with specific quests.
Anyway Tallis was likeable and interesting and I always enjoy hearing more lore about the Qunari. Speaking of the Qunari, her teacher looked totally awesome. Loved everything about his costume and model. Which brings me to the topic of costume. I have to say the new outfit models look great: Tallis' two costumes, Duke Prosper, the aforementioned Qunari, but seriously, it's time to ditch the noble outfits we've been stuck with since Origins. I thought they looked bad back then, and they look *terrible* when stood next to the new models. I'm admittedly hypersensitive to such things, but the dress model that Leliana and half the female guests are wearing at the party? It's horrendous, low-res, and there's really no excuse for it. At the very least you guys should have updated the texture and used colors not picked by a blind person (whyyy is half her dress flesh-colored??). But enough channeling my inner Orlesian noble.
Stuff I forgot to mention earlier: I liked the stealth element but found the cooldowns maybe a little too long. Oh and I loved the inclusion of familiar characters as party guests, and the amount of fanbase in-jokes was just right.
Overall, great job, guys! I look forward to seeing what you do next.

she is just trying too hard to become a companion but in doing so she's even worse than whining (unhardened) alistair
and why can't i take Bethany or Carver with me?
but all in all it wasn't a terrible DLC but without the -sarcasm on- "look at me i am funny" -Sarcasm off- Tallis it would be a better DLC
i liked the Legacy DLC a lot better han this one but i guess i am in the minority here
liked the stealth part and think it should be kept in next game but with some improvements on it like being able to "hug" the walls or something like that would be fun
the banter with Isabella / Aveline is definitely the best

You can take Bethany and Carver with you (Unless they died of course.) You chose them when leaving hightown and then they will be at the Chateu.

I loved this DLC - puzzles, banter, humor, stealth mission were great. I really liked that it was less heavily concentrated on combat in compare to Legacy. Tallis was very funny and I really didn't find her a "superwoman" as some claimed - frankly, I think she'd be in a lot more trouble without Hawke - and possibly dead.

agreed to me Tallis was like Tali in ME Did not wan't her in my party but could not do anything about it
maybe that is why the names are alike?
hoping we are giving the option to refuse to take Tallis if she is returning in future DLC / DA3 (maker i hope not)
sort of like with Sten and Leliana in Origins

Not good. There were practically no new features, all the main problems from DA2 except paratroops were still there. No party/companion conversation. No choise options. Combat still unnaturally fast. Anime look still going strong. New maps but I don´t consider them to be a improvement since the recycling was a horrible move from the start with. A dlc which pupose was solely to promote ms Day. Not a story for the player. Painfully obvious Kasumi "stolen memory" ripoff.
You seem to be under the impression MotA was meant to fix everyhtiing YOU don't like about the main game?
This was never promised, and definitely is not the purpose or intention of this DLC.
- No new features? What about stealth? That's new! What about Tallis' combat style? That's new!
- No party/companion conversation: By design. Consistent with the rest of the game.
- No choice options? Yes, there are choice options.
- Combat still unnaturally fast: Yes, and hopefully it stays that way. Best combat system I have seen in a while.
- Anime look: This is the new Dragon Age art style. Get used to it. It looks great!
- Maps: There are no recycled areas in MotA so I would say that's a step in the right direction, won't you?
- Story: This is no different to the rest of the DA2. Hawke is asked to do something. He does it. Like every other quest in the main game.

Must be some kind of bug. I had Bethany in my party for my first run through MotA (post-compain save).wickedwizzard01 wrote...

- Fleshing out the qunari as a group. Tallis presents a different face to them; she actually convinced me they don't all need to be killed. She also presented a mystery I hope gets fleshed out later: The qunari have agents? In Thedas? What precisely are they up to?
- Loved to see Orlais, and the new scenery. Nice change of pace from Kirkwall and the repetitive environments.
- Good change of pace with the gameplay. However...
As a mage I should have been able to scatter the guards with a tempest or lightning storm, or spell them to sleep, or freeze them with a glyph. Indoors I would have liked to drive them outdoors by amplifying the heat with my own fire.
As a thief I already had the stealth ability, and I don't know why she couldn't have used that version. On top of that, she had the gas. If you downloaded the rogue pack or Legacy (I did both at the same time so I don't know which one lets me use the bow and arrows) then it would have been nice to be able to aim for the torches if you needed more shadows.
I'm guessing a warrior could have Varric/Tallis/Sebastian let you borrow one of their potions. I never play that class so I can't really comment.
It just seems to me that the sneaking around portions could have been an opportunity to let each class shine.

I loved Legacy, but I don't know if I would enjoy this if I have to hear Day's voice throughout the whole thing...
I loved the story part & the party dialogues/banter of Legacy, is this DLC equally as good in that regard?
Thanks!

I see my arch nemesis Moriarty is back. I would engage you in a verbal fight but this is feedback thread so I leave it to other occasion.

But thanks to the game breaking savefile corruption glitch and random freeze on cetain part, the game have become unplayable.
Not to mention it also corrupted my post game savefile.
GREAT JOB bioware, how about make a DLC that delete people's savefile next? huh? it will be freaking FUN

Off the bat, I am impressed. BioWare continues to show a trait that I greatly respect: listening to the fans. The story, the characters and the environment are all really strong points of Mark of the Assassin. The first time I saw it, I was thinking that the studio would mostly focus on the fact that they had a known actor/actress (Felicia Day in this case), and all other aspects that makes content compelling would be ignored.
Praise the Maker that wasn't so.
The story covering this DLC is emotional and funny. The party banter and voice acting are perfect as always, the soundtrack is beautiful, and the gameplay is fun and challenging.
There were a number of things that really made me smile: Tallis and her story, seeing a few characters from Origins again (even though things seem to be getting weirder), the murlocks... er, I mean Gnarls, the final boss, the puzzles and the music.
I love the direction in which the franchise is heading and I have high hopes that Dragon Age 3 won't make the same mistakes as the second instalment.
And now, I quietly move into the shadows and wait for the next DLC.
Hopefully one called "Voice of the Maker" starring Morgan Freeman

For those of you who bought at least one of the DLC's for PC: Does it download through the old system or have they shifted over to requiring Origin to download DLC's?
