I really enjoyed this DLC. I have to say, it's even better than Legacy. Although I hoped that Tallis will be a permanent party member in the main story. Or at least my rogue Hawke could unlock her throwing knives skills, and the two stealth skills. I think it would be great if Hawke could learn these new skills. In my first playthrough i came across only one bug, wich occured when i want to pick up the Love poems letter. But i can't. :(

I loved the puzzles, but one of them are very hard (the floor painting puzzle), so after an hour of trying to solve it, i gave it up.Maybe on my next playthrough.

The party banter was awesome. Isabella with Aveline, hmmm, ah.. !!! :D

One minor downside at least for me. I don't understand why can't this DLC-s more integrated into the main story. I think these DLCs are just "hang in the air" so to speak. ((And after a couple of these, there won't be enough place in Hawke's house for new memento statues.)) :D So maybe you should consider integrating future DLC-s in to the main game, like the exiled prince.

Other than these suggestions, I think you guys did a really great job at Bioware! I'm waiting for Hawke's next exciting adventure! Maybe a big one, like DA Awakening? :D

Side note: I'm from Hungary. so if i made any mistake, than i'm sorry for my english. But I hope that it's not so bad. :D

I really enjoyed the DLC, currently doing my 3rd playthrough with Aveline and Anders. Great party banters and really nice story. I though like the part with the chatty-fancy-tancy-high-society-thingy :3 and the sneaking part.

Also liked the puzzling part in the Vault, I really like puzzling :3

The final fight is also really great, because you have to position your member strategically wise to get success.

I'm looking forward for more great DLC.

I really, really don't like it when it feels like playing a female character was an afterthought.  Yeah, it's just party clothes that we'll never use again, but I can predict that other femHawke players will notice and either wish that she got a dress, or wish that her shirt didn't look so ill-fitted.

Prediction? SUSTAINED.

This DLC makes it painfully (and I mean PAINFULLY) clear that nobody involved cared about those playing female characters. Yeah. I don't like feeling like an afterthought either.

It's awfully ironic that I was fully on-board for DA2, and it's *this* DLC that's making me consider bailing out on the franchise. So, thanks for that, John Epler! GOOD CALL.

Are you serious!?

Dear-god.

I liked the DLC overall, nice to see new areas, cameos, lore, party banter etc. I really liked Tallis' fighting style and movement, the stealth was a nice experiment (not Deus Ex in detail but reasonable considering its a DLC). The only stuff that disappointed me were:

1) The Final Boss fight wasn't challenging enough on Normal difficulty, it was interesting how it was laid out I don't fault that. Harlequins weren't very deadly especially if you have a Mage in your party!
2) We had a return of the enemy soldiers appearing out of no-where, though its no-where near as bad as in the main game
3) The re-cycling of DA2 textures for the reward DLC armour was a huge let down, especially after Legacy's cool Grey Warden Armour (e.g. The Warrior Armour reward looks identical to the Fallen Armour from the main game, at least have it Orlesian themed like the ones the enemy were wearing!)
4) Minor note, was disappointed I couldn't change Tallis' Weapons to other Daggers I had (think Varric's marriage to Bianca), though I can understand development cost vs implementation.
5) Another minor note, there was a cave crawling section which although was a new area, felt eerily familiar in style to those million and one cave systems explored in Kirkwall!
Other than those, thank you BioWare for a cool DLC, keep up the good work!

Say what you will about DAII's game design and whatnot, but the writers are the funniest available in game development. Seriously. The ME parody, the self-aware dialogue with Merrill complaining about spending a "ridiculous amount of time in Kirkwall"... It's all so great. Delicious, even.

Agreed. The banter was amazing.

Edit: Speaking of which, where was that ME2 parody line about terrible risks and the priiize?

I'm sure I must've tuned out when it played, 'cause it sounds hilarious.

And if me and the other poster are the only people complaining, you SHOULD sleep well.

On the other hand, if you get a lot of other voices chiming in, I hope you'll revisit your assumptions, and be able to say "well this thing that I didn't think was important, apparently IS important to a lot of our customers."

I'll stop posting now, and see if other people care about costume choices for their PC.

There was something about the Hunting Grounds that kept bugging me and until now I could not figure out what it was.
No, it wasn't the texture mesh on the hills that created a pattern (I can overlook that), but instead it was that there were no moving cloud shadows on the ground!
Tut-tut-tut Bioware, cutting corners, are we?
I appreciate that people who only have DX9 capable graphics cards would not miss this, but for me and my beefy rig, I really felt that was a bit of a cheap trick!
Those ground shadows add a lot of atmosphere to outdoors environments! And It wasn't like there were no clouds to cast shadows either!
This may seem like a nit-picky complaint, but I don't like seeing good elements removed...

I'm pretty sure it was in your first chat with Prosper if you take the left options to ask about Wyverns instead of getting on with the hunt. Eventually, he says something that ends with, "...a great risk. But the prize..."

I may be remembering that wrong. I do remember the line though because I couldn't stop laughing for a good five minutes.

Well done, albeit far too short.

Some interesting new gameplay mechanics. More terrain, which was nice. New creatures, although one looks like a ripoff of Fable Hobbes. That was okay.

I shouldn't give it higher than a C+, but I will. B- only because even though it was short, it felt as though it was the opening chapter in the next part of the story. Even better because it didn't mention the Warden or Morrigan (let it go, finally!).

On contrary. It does mention the Warden. Tallis asks something about Hawke's origin, and she explains that she and her family originally came from Lothering in Ferelden. Tallis asks if she knew the Warden. Hawke replies by saying that she does not, but she has heard that the Warden had passed through Lothering. Overall, I loved this DLC. It was a load of fun, with great dialogue, fun banters, great puzzles, Tallis is an interesting character and I loved the elaboration on the Qunari and Orlesians. Looking forward to more future content.

I liked it as well and as others say it have great party banter and the sneaking gameplay was a fun change as well, the environments were great and varied and i liked to be able to fight different enemies including new ones and really good plot twist with Tallis, Best DLC yet and in many ways a vast improvement over DA 2 as well so keep it up.

I didn't notice much at all wirh Anders (an "are you OK?" after the cell), but I did hear Merrill's rescue mission and ball of twine was very funny.

One thing I would've loved to see was the romance integrated more into the party setting. Attending the Chateau as "Hawke plus one" with the LI would've made some awesome opportunities for banter (serious and humorous).

OK.... I enjoyed it, it was good... can I have a couple of ''buts'', without being called a whiner, though? I mean this is a feedback thread not a blind praise thread, right? :)
Can we at some point in the future have some DLC that involves a sexy male character? I mean I'm talking Witch Hunt, Leliana's Song, Lair Of The Shadow Broker and Mark Of The Assassin all female DLC's, I know it seems petty and it may well be.. but it just grates for a start, having Leliana thrust on me again for one thing, and I flipping well like her..... but you know for some people she is dead and also it's getting........... boring <<<<<< just my opinion...

That aside... Why does Hawke look like Ruck when stealthing? Weirded me out, that freaky head thing and the walk she does.I don't like stealth it annoys me, but it's OK because I don't have to do it (though I can't help but wonder why there was a letter I couldn't read when stealthed on a bench but the letter wasn't there when I was fighting my way through..?)

I like puzzles :) they might make me frustrated but I like them, though I think there should be some logic to them and there didn't appear to be with the fire puzzle? Maybe I need to look at it again, but I like puzzles that make you go ''Oooooooh....... I get it'', after solving :) The coloured doors made sense....

As for romance banter............ was there any........? I mean I romance Fenris every time and still haven't had his dialogue in Legacy (any chance of a fix on that...............ever?) And only got one line of vague concern out him which could have been said by anyone tbh..... Am I just really unlucky, or isn't there any... He just seemed to grumble a lot to me.

Overall, I enjoyed it.... but if you are going to keep putting Leliana in, can we have more Zevran? C'mon.... Lots of us love Zev, you know that, right?  And fair's fair after all...............  :P:kissing:

Take another look at the paintings of faces near the sets of tiles.

I actually really enjoyed the puzzles, they weren't impossible to do (although the flipping-tiles-to-make-a-face one took me ages) and made the player think for a bit. It's a nice change from combat.

My rambling, disjointed thoughts:

LOVED the puzzles, the new areas (especially the hunting grounds), the Wyvern hunt, the banter (though the banters Hawke participated in... not so much). I loved the designs of the Harlequins and the servants' clothes and some the Orlesian armors. Liked the new creatures (Wyvern, Ghast). The Ghasts sound like Ewoks. I was cracking up every time I had to fight them.

I enjoyed talking to the familiar faces at the party, but why was Teagan there with Isolde? Shouldn't have Eamon been there too? Ooooohh.... I smell a scandal! King Alistair (if you made him so in DAO) should have been at the party too, possibly stuffing his face with cheese. That would have been fun.

Didn't like Lady Hawke's party clothes. It looked like she mugged Man Hawke and stole his clothes. They needed to be better fitted and at least should have been a different color :P

The stealth section.... ehhh... it was nice to have something other than "KILL EVERYTHING!" but the section felt kind of... clunky. It didn't help that Hawke moved at the speed of a glacier going backward while Tallis sped by her like a stealthy cheetah.

Didn't like the "it all leads to the same ending" ending. So. Frustrating. Also, didn't like that the "reward armor" was not of a unique design. It brought on memories of Leliana's Song. Bad ones.

Lastly, I am somewhat confused by Tallis. I don't understand how she can be Qunari, I thought Qunari women didn't fight?

Overall, I had fun with MotA. I didn't enjoy it more than Legacy, however.

Loved it.

Definitely keep working on stealth as a gameplay mode, would be great if each class had unique gameplay modes like that and they were viable solutions to quests, like warriors could steal a guard uniform and have something similar to the escape from Fort Drakon and mages could... light something on fire? Anyway, it was a very nice change of pace, even if my character did move infuriatingly slowly and act like she'd wet herself.

The puzzles... that stupid portrait tile puzzle made me want to cry; it was great! Again, nice change of pace, I'd say that was more-or-less the right amount of puzzle solving for an average DLC, maybe slightly over.

Bosses: I liked the last boss fight, felt like it came straight from an MMO with all the positioning and boss abilities, and the arcane horror was a fun challenge (took about 5-6 attempts) but the alpha wyvern was a bit of an uninspiring damage sponge.

On a side note, if there's ever a melee character with a ranged auto-attack in future can we have an option to have them default to melee auto-attacks? I left Tallis on [Enemy: nearest visible -> attack] and aggressive behaviour (like I do for all the companions) but whenever I wanted her to use an ability she was on the other side of the battlefield, meant I had to keep manually moving her towards the enemy.

This was definitely something else, and, I think, better than Legacy. Granted, it still falls short of continuing Hawke's story, which is what I want in a dlc (maybe not necessarily Hawke's, rather DA2's story in general), but this had a different purpose.

Not too action-packed (or maybe it seemed that way because I spent hours figuring out the face puzzle), it really surprised me with all the different things we haven't seen much of in the series (the stealth sequence, the relatively hard puzzles, the orlesian society) and I was really happy with all the cameos and the puns (mainly, the Duke's risk and prize line, and Isolde's "who is this man?").

Not judging yet, but my first impression was that party banter wasn't as strong as Legacy's, although side-quests involving the different companions provided some sort of compensation (and while I'm on the subject, thumbs up for the revenant bit). Still really good though, and some of Hawke's and Tallis' banter was quite hilarious, with their little romance going on also. I have to try the other companions to have a better idea.

Boss fights were pretty good and numerous, nothing out of the ordinary though - I would have love to see some sort of post-fight consequence of fighting the wyverns in a "wrong" way, like npc poisoning and such. I liked the final one, it was well done and pretty challenging.

I'll still have to play a couple of times to have an opinion on choices and consequences.

All in all, very good, solid dlc, definitely on the right track here.

Ah, well as I said, maybe I need to look at it again but I was still all cross and everything from constantly being caught whilst stealthing, which I clearly suck at, lol :P
