So far, I found out taking Sebastian is rather a waist, he doesn't really say anything or interact very well, though there is a moment, when Bethany & him are trying find you in the dungeon, she gets the hots for him.

And once again Hawke looks like a fool.

Well.... at least we know who is to blame if the Qunari curbstomp Thedas thanks to the informations of their spies. To bad that all Hawke cares about seems to be shiny stuff.

I'm already getting excited for the next DLC. I want to know at what Hawke fails next. Darkspawn, Qunari.... maybe he could help some Tevinter Blood Mage Magisters next time, thanks to his indifference.

Next DLC - Hawk lets enriched Uranium fall into the hands of Tevinter blood mages.

I can't stand how Hawk is such a mimbo/bimbo.  Why the hell would he go to Orlais with this tart and start helping her steal crap.  He knows nothing of her and her agenda.  My champion doesn't need to resort to common thievery.  He wants to become a respectable citizen, and when he has a chance to move up in the world, he stands by while this elf is throwing daggers in guards throats.    The worst part is that we can't do anything about it in the end.

If you're so worried about the "rp" aspect then you shouldnt have bought the DLC and/or just dont go through it again and treat it as if it didnt happen.  It's not like you're going to be playing Hawke again in the next DA game and have to worry about his personality transferring over.  And when/if it's mentioned in the next game, treat it as if it was someone else who accompanied Tallis.  Real simple work around if you have a good imagination.  Seriously, you KNEW it was going to be a heist DLC and yet you STILL bought it.  No one's fault but your own on that one.

It bothered me greatly that I was locked into my allegiance. Here we have a duke who by all accounts seems like a pretty nice guy, and has invited me to his estate as an esteemed guest, and is also getting information about a faction which is nominally my sworn enemy. But I have to help an assassin from said faction and kill my generous host. I basically felt like a huge tosser from start to finish.

Overall I liked this DLC. It was fun and light-hearted, and I always enjoy more party banter. And I liked the fact that I got some more with Carver(one of my favorite characters). But there are some things that really did bother me.
Why would my Hawke who overall is quite a nice person and the Champion of Kirkwall try to break into a duke's estate just because someone asks her? She does not need the money(and even if she did she would not steal for it) Besides the duke is no enemy of hers. He has invited her to a party and treats her nicely enough.
And while I thought Tallis was a rather adorable and intresting character I don't want to help the qunari. From what I heard from Sten in DAO they do plan to invade the rest of Thedas. Of course my Hawke would not know that, but her experience with the Arishok and what he did to Kirkwall should have made her wary of the qunari. So she has no reason to help Tallis. My Hawke would probably sleep better if the Empress of Orlais had gotten her hands on those scrolls. Yes, innocent would probably get hurt when the empire went after the spies, but how many will get hurt if the qunari manage to invade with help of the information those spies have gathered.
I played both endings; helping Tallis and not helping, not helping was the one I saved. In the end it ended the same anyways since Tallis got away with the scrolls. I would have liked an option to at least try and steal them from her.
So overall a good DLC, but my Hawke felt a bit dragged along. And I would have like a chance to question Tallis about some parts of the qun; like not being allowed to raise your own children, not being allowed in anyway to choose your way in life, and how they limit people because of their gender. And my mage Hawke would definitely want to talk about their mages because the qunari treatment of mages makes Meredith seem tame.

Lol, Right - my bad for expecting RP when I bought it.  Maybe my review will help someone else from making the same foolish mistake.

Anyway, It wasn't bad, a lot shorter than Legacy it seems.  Would have liked it better if I wasn't stuck with just Tallis for most of it, and would have liked to have had more some decisions that actually mattered.  Also would have liked to not kill the Chasind guy - he was cool (should have let us trade Tallis for him).

Oh, and thumbs up for Horacio & the killer bees.

Amazing DCL!!!

Liked it much more than heritage mostly due to the banters, graphics and atmosphere in general.

The only things I did'nt like was the female clothing at the reception (it looked like male clothing!!!) and the fact that it was not possible to keep(or destroy) the list of names at the end.

but WOW! I loved it!!!!:wizard:

[Spoilers]

I've just finished Mark of the Assassin. I love it. Thank you Bioware for a second awesome DLC in row! (Legacy rocks too!)

My Hawkette would gladly convert to Qun if by doing so she could travel more with Tallis. She's a lovely companion and character. (kudos for hiring Felicia Day!)

After Fenris lack of romance scene in Legacy I decided to leave him home during Mark of the Assassin. And that was excellent decision. Hawkette flirted with Tallis through all the way right till the great final kiss. It was perfect. (it reminds me the kiss of Revan and Carth from KOTOR)

I really hope in future DLCs Tallis will return to continue the romance and Hawkette will have a chance to break off with Fenris so she can be with the red haired female elf.

Big plus for wyverns and ghasts. I also liked the final fight - as Isabella said: "he bounced!"

I have a feeling of money well spent. Now I'm waiting for the next DLC.

Keep it coming!

This DLC was awesome, clearly made for the sarcastic Hawke.

So, story wise which act do you guys recommend to play this dlc? Also, which party members have the best banter?

Just finished the DLC had a ton of fun. Played with a sarcastic Hawke, loved the banter between Hawke and Tallis.
My favorite part was

Tallis: What do call it when kill people to get their stuff?

Hawke: Adventuring!

I liked the stealth and the puzzles, overall a great DLC.

I love it! :D     Please do the reactions to the Witheryn Droppings smell and when Tallis reacts to Hawke when Hawke goes elbow deep in the droppings.

Also whats the deal with those 3 sculptures in the dungeon?

One of them was in the Captain morgan Rum pose.  I chuckled.

You say there is an option to kill Tallis if she doesn't give you the list????  How the heck did I miss that?  I hope I have a save near there.  I asked for the list but she refused and I never saw an option to try and kill her.

Quick question, at one point in the caves you get the option to keephelping Tallis or leave.  If you leave is there anything else or do you just go back to the normal game?

I have read somewhere that you encounter her on your way back anyway so the two endings are not so different, but I haven't tried it so far.

False advertising!!!
It did say you'd get a new companion and I didn't.
Bioware, you lied to us Mass Effect players who actually do get new companions with DLC's. I feel totally burned and conned. The mission was okay, but I was looking forward to the replay value of playing the game again with her but then... nope, it was a trick.
Fine, maybe next game I'll take the role of a pirate.

Mostly everything was fun with the banter, puzzles, and all. One thing that bugs me about the DLC is lack of consequential choices to the plot, and an inability to argue with Tallis about how the Qun treats mages.

Yeah, plus you have to return home and decide whether or not to tell your mom who would probably lose all her pride in you after killing a friend of family in his own home (on his land). Seemed he was just defending his people from the Qunari threat and now you look like a traitor to your own people and family all because she was pretty??? It all started with an ambush and lie and not even getting the girl in the end because she's like thanks bye! Damn. Ouch.

OMG, I forgot about their mages! And I was a mage! Man, I feel so cheap and conned and tricked and fooled and like I just helped a little devil do lots of evil against my people, my family name, and mages!

I loved this DLC! Loved it! I played Sarcastic Hawke my 1st play through with Issy and Avaline and it was a total blast. The dialog/ banter was really great and the comedy in this one was gold. Tallis is a really fun character. The wyrvern jumping through the trees was a nice touch. I'm not much of a puzzle guy so I internetted the crap out of them. Particularly the flip floor puzzles. The color ones I figured out on my own which is a miracle on my part. Maybe because I play on easy or normal and drink a couple beers to raise the difficulty? ha
The Orlesian costumes were really great. I did play an anti-Qunari Mage and found it a little weird that I couldn't wrestle Tallis for the scroll, but it's not a huge deal. All in all, I think I liked this one more than Legacy! And I loved Legacy. Thanks BW, can't wait to replay it again with another Hawke. :)

Great DLC, horrible anti-Qunari ending.
