@Pr0pheze1ung - The slow downloads appear to have cleared up but we're still getting some reports of dropped downloads and corrupted files. We continue to work with the download service provider to identify and resolve any issues. The vast majority of people are able to purchase, download, install, and play the DLC without incident.

Users having trouble with their downloads are encouraged to perform a traceroute to na.llnet.bioware.cdn.ea.com and post the results to this thread (or send it to me in a private message). That should tell us what servers you're hitting and help us narrow down any remaining problems.

Thanks!

mine fully downloads every time and at a good speed too (avg. 3.3 MB/sec), but is corrupted. I am on Brighthouse networks internet in the Orlando, Florida area. I have tried to download this DLC through Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome all have had the same NSIS Error "Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy." this has happened every time I try to install it.

Got this problem as well. Download got to 1.2 GB and suddenly it fails every time. I've tried 4 times already.

I'm based in BKK, Thailand. Internet speed is 6mbps.

My download keeps failing at halfway. Based in South Africa. I know my line is slow but I downloaded Arrival for Mass Effect 2 fine yesterday. I tried 3 times.

Thanks Raukman. I received your traceroute data and sent it off to our download service providers this morning for analysis.

I sent my tracert information via PM to Rob Bartel.

For the information of the forum I have tried a restart, router reset, using 3 different web browsers, and 2 computers at various times over the past 24 hours to no avail.

My download appears to complete (on Firefox), but then gives me a message like:

"C:\\Users\\Carrie\\Downloads\\DA2_MarkOfTheAssassin.exe could not be saved, because an unknown error occurred.

Try saving to a different location."

I tried the saving to a different location and Mozilla's troubleshooting for the issue as well just to make sure it wasn't some setting on Firefox.

My location is Juneau, Alaska.

I've done 3 downloads, none of which have worked, and just started fourth. I've also checked settings and such.
If it makes a difference, my location is Lacombe, Alberta.
(oh, and my internet connection is fine too)

Hey all. After many failed tries at downloading the file I ran the DL instead of saving it and the DL went through. Hope it installs now or i'll come back here and report my findings. Hope this helps.

Report: It works and runs fine.

I just sent a pm with my tracert result. Sorry for forgetting to do it before.

Is there any word on why the download is corrupted? I'd like to play MoTA soon :)

Added: Also, I'm using firefox to download MoTA. Could it have been because of that? Now trying to download with Safari.

The most likely vector of all is using any kind of wireless transfers at any point in the process. MotA is the same as all other DLCs in that regard, and all of them succumb to the insecurity of that transmission system, as revealed by many many MANY prior message threads in the forum archives.

I downloaded Legacy, and all of my other DLC for DAO, DAII and ME2, via wireless internet, and it worked fine. So I'm not sure if that's the issue for me in this case.

Wireless is variable; there are a great many potential sources of interference. What works via wireless 9 times out of 10 can go wonky in the blink of an eye, so it's always convenient to have a backup based on hardwire (my own router has both the twisted pair Cat5 ethernet ports, and a broadcast antenna for my Tablet PC to connect through). My desktops use the hardwired LAN connections, and when I have some need at home to break out the ancient laptop I was using for travel, it can connect either way.

I had to plug my computer straight into the modem to get it to download. But I got what I paid for so I am happy.

Hey, that's great, but it does support the idea that for total reliability, ethernet is better.
