As for being first, I can see that in an MMO with PvP, and RTS multiplayer or a complicated FPS, you want to get in early so people are not all powerful or know all the maps and tricks before you do, but a singleplayer game? Just be careful not to read to much online not to get spoilers and that's it.

You don't get it. Being "first", whether it be in a competitive environment or not is always a boon. "I beat the game before you even got your hands on it" would result in rather obnoxious bragging rights. (Assuming you value them as bragging rights.



Even then, remember that the whole street date thing was so that it was fair for the retailers across the board, not for us.

so far, as to the childish nature of the topic at hadn, i'll admit 'yes', im being very childish about this game and when i will have it. thats the one pure thing left in my life is how i enjoy games. because every other facet to it has become jaded.



work, music, films etc...



and as for people "being first" because theyre 16-2x??? the few posts i have been following, like sadromeo1 etc, have been very nice posts. not some ego driven etherbabble, rather someone acknowledging peoples questions about the game and posting pics.



its always the same story with posts like mine.

you will have the poster saying they cant wait, and then someone else comes in and calls them childish for not being able to "wait".



well obviously im choosing not to shut that side of my brain off because im enjoying this information chase and listening to others post their opinions about not having the game or having it.



in fact im pretty impressed by the general politeness of the forums these last few days and have enjoyed reading others stories in the waning hours of the launch to DA.
