I've played this game quite a bit in the last few months, and have thoroughly beaten it in all aspects except one: a solo playthrough on the hardest difficulty (or a solo playthrough on any difficulty for that matter).
Right now, I'm leaning on building an AW/BM, as it seems to be the "standard" build for a solo run. I've read a few guides on Arcane Warriors here and there, however, and none of them seem to specialize in builds for a SOLO run - only for a usual full-party run.
If anyone could help me piece together a solid solo build, I'd be most grateful. Stat allocation and spells are the most important to me, so any advice you can give me to that end would be great.
Getting ready for a solo run on Nightmare - advice needed.

This is possibly the best Arcane Warrior guide there is:
http://www.gamefaqs....gins/faqs/58247
It includes advice for stat allocation, what spells are useful, and advice for solo nightmare runs (toward the bottom).
Standard advice is that you can solo this game with just about anything, though the durability of the Arcane Warrior is a natural choice.

Ah, I'd already looked at that guide once, but didn't notice the soloing section toward the bottom. That will do quite nicely, thanks.

Meh. I got to Lothering with my mage, then quit. I didn't like the way my mage looked, and it felt too easy for a solo game.
Now, I'm soloing as a Dwarf Noble rogue. It's much, much better. DN origin for the win.

Ha, I never realized just how useful traps, poisons, potions, and bows were until I started playing solo as a rogue. I wouldn't stand a chance if I didn't have all that stuff at my disposal - yet on a normal full-party run, I almost never used any of those things.
Though I must confess, I've had to "cheat" every now and then when fighting large mobs or particularly tough enemies by planting myself in corners and/or getting enemies stuck in place. But I do what I must to survive, I suppose.

LOL. I've already beaten it - it was far easier than I'd anticipated, especially after I started leveling up more and getting better equipment.
I even managed to solo the Harvester - it was even easier to do solo than it was with a team. I was shocked.

yes the difficulty is way off, i went levels and levels of combat without using a health potion or 2, mainly just bosses, if you notice alot of creatures can seem to get a hit on ya
