Assuming he/she survives with their love interest.

Personally, I see my Renegade Shepard who's had "issues" since Torfan being unable to "turn off" his combat state and having trouble dealing with the realities of not having to fight for the sake of the universe. The Alliance will discharge him and he'll become a threat to everyone around him, enough so that the Alliance tries to put him away.

As they breach into his apartment, they find it empty with all his possessions untouched. Reports of Cerberus activites become more frequent and aggressive over the years, though none make the connection.

Kelly might or might not be involved.

He'll probably take a vacation and then maybe join a PMC. I can't imagine he'll stay on with the Alliance and well, Cerberus...

He'll stay on the Normandy. He is its captain. after all. And even after the galaxy is saved, there will always be missions to do and mercs to kill.

The Normandy is a "she" Image IPB

Dunno where Shepard will be once the job's done. I guess s/he's going to have a long shore leave and will spend some weeks / months with his LI (if there's any). Somehow I hope we can see an epilogue showing what Shepard is going to do after the war.

Besides that - maybe Shepard got KIA, in that case, there won't be a future for him. Image IPB

"Shepard" still exists if he/she dies, Conrad Verner's split personality will take their place.

I see my paragon femshep taking a break for a month or so. Then taking the Normandy and seeing what else is out there. She won't actively look for jobs to do but will never turn down an opportunity to help someone out.

She will probably be going solo (as far as romance is concerned) depending on the outcome of ME3.

Dun dun dun duuuuun ...

*creepy image is creepy*

By the way, all my Shepards are paragonish (at least 90%+ paragon) - and yeah, all of them are going to have some nice time with their LI. I hope that LI survives ...

I doubt it. He'd start up his own maybe. Perhaps bring in Garrus and Zaeed as partners if they're still alive.

My main Shepard is definitely looking forward to a farewell to arms.

He'll go under the radar for a while, only letting his colsest friends and loved ones know where he is. All that to get a rest and to get his thoughts straight, after all that he's been through he'll be quite shook up. After that he wouldn't know what the future will hold for him.

Well... with my newest Shep.... if she survives the war with Kaidan....hmmm

Realstically...after Mindoir, Akuze, Eden Prime...Virmire... getting spaced....the O4 Relay....

Probably really would suffer from PTSD and go in for some long treatment at a clinic somewhere for about a year or so... time to readjust to her life before rejoining the Spectres with Kaidan to help rebuild the galaxy

If (BIG "if") John survives (he's just enough of a "big goddamn hero" to sacrifce himself) he'll buy a ship, crew it with whoever of his old crews are still alive and willing, and go "pirate" (read: space Robin Hood) with Jack as his first mate.

Jane will most likely not survive. She doesn't have a lot to live for unless Zaeed (or anyone else) starts treating her like John did with Jack. In fact, she's Jack without the biotics, and on a path to self-destruction without a Cerberus to rebuild her this time round.

My renegade Shepard takes over Cerberus and my paragon Shepard lives happily ever after.

I prefer the renegade one.

At least Shepard could make Cerberus into something than just a pathetic, failure group.

Basicallly with my Sheps its all the same idea - it all centers around my love interests. The quiet life of a porn star whilst living in the lap of luxury.

I think… politics.

Shep. capitalizing on his wartime status as a symbol of the resistance against the Reapers to become a sort of elder statesman (only without being terribly old).

Even without serving in any particularly powerful position, Paragon Shepard could easily become one of the most powerful men in the galaxy due to his "universally respected" status.

Besides, the galaxy needs a few changes made.

Take holiday (honeymoon?) with Liara, then back to work. The galaxy will still need Spectres, no doubt.

Dead, because its only a good story if the hero dies as varric says.. And the Vikings

Nah but seriously, Your thing about cerberus sounds cool.. I hope it can be an outcome. TIM is great but I want my Shepard to replace him...

A long vacation with lots of sexy-time with his LI and a lot of booze.

After that, he hasn't thought that far ahead. Maybe a job posting that not's so hard on him all the time. Perhaps senior N7 instructor for the Alliance marines.

After a period of well-deserved rest, there are several options:

*Leading an expedition into remote regions of the galaxy, together with his/her LI (the space equivalent of riding off into the sunset).
*Leading the enforcement arm of Miranda's repurposed Cerberus (the name will have to go) in service of humanity.
*Going into politics and enacting a few necessary changes in Council regulations - where better to use that superhuman persuasion skill?
*Dead - sacrificed himself/herself at the end of the Reaper War.
*Founding a new colony and becoming its leader.

Obviously it depends largely on ME3, but at the moment I can see a different fate for each of my Shepards:

Ripley, my main infiltrator Shepard (named after the greatest science fiction heroine ever - Ellen Ripley) will stay with the Alliance/Council, doing Spectre and military stuff, exploring remote corners of the galaxy, hopefully with Kaidan by her side. If things go bad in ME3 (Kaidan and/or the squadmates she's close to die, she might end up as a bitter heroine in retirement like Jon Grissom. Or become a merc, Archangel style.)

Aeon, my charismatic & manipulative biotic would prefer a career in politics. She's done scrubbing husk & rachni goo from her armour and is ready to be the councilor Udina never was.

Robin, a paragonish engineer with a lot of conspicary theories in her head, will probably leave the Alliance. She might stay if the geth turn out to be allies of the council races and she can work in geth space, maybe establishing military cooperation between the races. If things don't work out with the geth, she might give her old friend Lorik Qui'in a call and start a career at Synthetic Insights and do A.I. research.

My soldier Sam, who will do anything to stop the reapers will end up dead, if it's possible for Sheapard to die in ME3. If not, she'll probably spend the next decade in a mental institution, trying to come to terms with having sacrificed the man she loved on Virmire, having lost friends and crew during the suicide mission and the visions from the beacon, which still haunt her every night.

Jill, vanguard & adrenaline junkie doesn't much care what she does - as long as she can explore the galaxy behind a cannon. Garrus and Jack can come along if they want to.

Devon, my sentinel might stay with the Alliance or try to get reassigned as a spectre - but only as an agent for Cerberus (if the organization still exists after ME3 of course). Or maybe she becomes TIW, The Illusive Woman.

For myself I can say that I'm going to miss Shepard, in whatever incarnation. I generally get very attached to my characters and saying goodbye after three games will be hard.
